Data disappearing

I'm using the 2nd ed AD&D character sheet in my campaign and my players always seem to have stuff missing here and there that they have entered. Has anyone else ever have this issue?

If you look on the Attributes and Abilities tab is the data there? I ask, because this is something I've seen reported on the Legend of the Five Rings character sheet as well. The other possibility is that some of the field names are named properly in the HTML, so is it specific fields and if so, what fields are they?

I use that 2E sheet and have not had any problems like you described. The one bit that might help to know --- Roll20 character sheets have Auto-Saving, and it saves the field you're typing in when you remove the cursor and place your text cursor into another field. The only way I've heard of something not saving is, maybe, if you kept your cursor in the field that you had edited & closed Roll20 or closed the sheet without moving cursor to a different field. And in that case it would only fail to save that 1 field. So if you're finding unsaved changes in multiple fields then this may not be the issue.

I keep noticing the ST and the Stat attributes as in like hit prob and number of languages. Simple little things like that, but the players keep saying they put it there. I mean we can work around anything. It just gets annoying lol.

It's very valid to bring this up, if it's happening, Sean. I'm going to start watching for it & look for any evidence on my campaigns. Like I said I rely on the 2E sheet fairly frequently and I have not noticed this problem myself so far. You might want to change the subject line to mention the AD&D 2E character sheet by Dylan G, that might help the programmer to notice this thread, if that is needed. Granted it might not be a sheet problem, it could be on your players' end, the cause seems inconclusive at this point. By the way it sounds like you're not completely sure if the Players had filled in the slots, maybe they just hadn't gotten around to "Number of Languages" yet? Or is it more like you're definitely seeing that you filled several slots, and they disappear later, and you re-write them, and they disappear again? Also you could try posting in the next most-recent thread about the sheet, or PM Dylan the sheet's programmer directly from his Player Profile link, <a href="https://app.roll20.net/users/35199/dylan-g" rel="nofollow">https://app.roll20.net/users/35199/dylan-g</a> other threads about the sheet <a href="https://app.roll20.net/forum/search?q=dylan%20ad%2" rel="nofollow">https://app.roll20.net/forum/search?q=dylan%20ad%2</a>... recent thread about the sheet <a href="https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/1465134/ad-and-d" rel="nofollow">https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/1465134/ad-and-d</a>...

Reason's I've debugged this happening in my own sheets: the input element has no name attribute in the css the input element has a type element entered in ALL CAPS, i.e "TEXT". possibly(?) the input element has a mis-named name attribute, i.e. doesn't start with 'attr_' ?
Inquire if anyone is deleting/editing the information in the Attributes column of the Attributes and Abilities tab of the character journal (its to the right of the character sheet tab). Anything deleted here will disappear upon closing the sheet, unless you input more data into those fields (tab into and out of the sheet works).
Thank you John! I think that may be it because he was deleting that section to clear up to see what macros he could make. Said it made it "cleaner" lol

...I did the same thing for the same reason., which is how I found out, so no worries. That being said, don't put a big red button near me you don't want pressed. Edit: Just let the players know that under the attributes area is where the sheet stores its data. And not to touch it. There are lots of reason why easy access to the data is desired, so (I hope) its not going away.
well its a first time on roll20 for me and most of my crew, so its a learning curve ;)
