Grid alignment help!

I have a 5E game this sunday, and I'm having trouble trying to align a usermade map of thundertree. I've read all the tips and trick on the 101 tips page, and NOTHING is helping. Please help me figure out the correct dimensions?? This is the map I'm using http://i.imgur.com/nE4jma6.png
Michael, Set the map dimensions to 58x40, then set the dimensions of the map to 3957x2698. The key is that this map will NOT snap to grid due to the yellow border around the outside, so you will need to use the alt key while moving it so that you can align it to the grid leaving the outside border overlapping the open outside edge of the map. Hope it helps!
As a future reference as well, it is generally preferable to have maps and images that don't require transparency as .jpg.

What Kevin said about the alt-key drag to move the yellow outside the edge will help a lot. And the way I do it is different than the tips page. I make the page size HUGE and set my grid to what I want as a size, Put my image in the top left corner lining up the first grid to the edge of the map both top and side. drag my image width until the lines match drag vertical size until it matches and alt-key tweak it a few pixels on movement if it isn't perfect. shrink pagesize down until it fits the map. That seems a lot easier for me personally than trying to use that 'align to grid' option, as I can never drag an exact pixel to pixel 3x3 square to make it auto do it. Plus this way I can set my grid to 0.8 or 0.459 or any arbitrary number and not have to work out the math of pixel size to map size to grid size.

Thank you SO MUCH! This took me hours to figure out, and I'm never good with numbers. Cheers! EDIT: And thank you William for the tip! I'll be sure to use that next time!

William , "Align to Grid" is a rough estimate. Afterwards you should use the scalers (while holding ALT) for fine tuning. Michael , there are three basic steps to use to align to grid: 1) Align to Grid tool 2) Hold Alt while moving the map to align the grid in the top left corner 3) Use the bottom-middle and/or center-right scaler to fine tune the alignment (revisiting step 2 as needed).
