However i am not extremely familliar with copyright laws, and apologize ahead of time for any infringements implied or otherwise. if anyone has more knowledge regarding copyrights and believe this project to be infringing on them, please let me know and i will attempt to address them right away. ***END DISCLAIMER*** This project is to try and bring the wonderful setting and mechanics used in the final fantasy 7 game and make them useable as a TTRPG style game for use in roll20. This will be a rather complex project and will likely take some time to get right. anyone willing to help in that regard will earn my eternal gratitude, as well as a full copy of the mechanics, formula's and other information i have dredged up needed to be able to run this system as a GM yourself. What is currently in development: Battle Mechanics What is next in development: Stat Balancing and Level Progression What is on the "To-Do" list: Create NEW items list. everything from weapons armor, accessories, and a new take on the materia system. (to try and further remedy any copyright issues) Character Creation system Setting overhaul and new lore. (setting will be far into the future after the events of the original FF7 game and will NOT include any of the information or be in any way related to the advent children movie or crisis core game. Currently recuiting: Anyone who has a copy of the game (either PC or original playstation) who is willing to assist me in some of the data gathering required to make this as faithful to the original system as possible. Artists who are capable of creating new art to be used in this project. including character and monster portraits. Super Geeks: to further try and distance the copyright issues, if anyone is familiar enough with the roll20 system (api coders get top priority) to be able to create complex macro's for use in the game. Ideally it would be a somebody or several somebodies who can create a formula for attacking and damaging that will give very similar results to the formula's i'm using currently for the damage and attack system. (pulled directly from "Final Fantasy VII: Battle Mechanics FAQ by TFergusson" from GamefaQs) Right now i'm not looking for potential players, however anyone joins the dev team is of course first priority when selecting players if they are interested.
