Duplicating Cards???

Hello, I am relatively new to Roll20, but I think its awesome so far. I have one question however, I have recently decided to make a custom deck for random treasure that the players can draw from when they search. The deck is about 100 cards, and made up of about half gold cards, and half other valuables cards. I have made all the cards, but I wanted to basically just make 50 copies of the gold card. I can't figure out any way to duplicate cards. Do I really have to make 50 of the exact same card, uploading the image and naming each card every time, or is there a quick way to make many duplicates of a single card? If this topic has been answered before I apologize, I couldn't find anything about it in the forums or the wiki.

so no then? I do know how to use the Library archive to get the image again, I was just trying to avoid actually making 50 new cards all the exact same, but I guess that's the only way to do it. That's a shame, because there is a duplicate deck button, I just assumed there would be a duplicate card button as well. Thanks anyway, David

Could you create one gold card and use the infinite deck option when handing gold out? edit: nevermind, I just re-read your problem. This may still apply if you made a separate "gold" deck however.

Could you use a rollable table? That would allow you to weight the gold the way you want...

You don't have to re-upload the image for each card, that's why I linked you to that other discussion.
I didn't mean "upload", im sorry, I meant literally dragging the image from the library archive to the new card and then naming it, saving it x50. Vince, that is actually a good idea, I could make an infinite gold deck + a item deck, and either have a rollable table (like GV says) to choose which card to hand out, OR , i could make the decks DM ONLY and hand them the cards i want. I was trying to have one deck instead of 2, thats all. It would be awesome if you could shuffle 2 decks together like smash-up.
Since I had to make 50 gold cards, I decided to just go ahead and make them and make some subtle changes on them, so that there are 5 sets of 10 gold cards, each with different flavor text and a different pic. Yes, this actually added to the work level on my part, but my original point was there should be a duplicate card option, if not, and I have to make each card, then I will make each card unique. It is done, if there was a better way to do it, then too late. My only question now is this: now that i have this awesome deck, can i save it and use it for other campaigns, or is this deck ONLY attached to this campaign? Because, my players are NOT liking my choice of character sheet and I am possibly looking at just making a new campaign page with a different character sheet choosen (would love to use my own but there are a few that will work fine). But now I don't want to recreate this sweet deck again. Dilemma...
A HA, I see, I would need the mentor access to have the "transmogrifier" to share resources between games. Hmmm, well, if things work out and Roll20 becomes our permanent gaming option, then I will probably become mentor, until then, they will just have to suck it up and deal with the character sheet issues, because i am totally NOT remaking this deck.
If you were a mentor you could use the Transmogrifier to copy the deck from one campaign to another. There are a lot of other great reasons to have mentor status as well (heck... just supporting this application and development team is a great reason!).

You could copy/extend the campaign. I think you can do that as a free account (that was his I started). The other option would be to just change the character sheet for you campaign. You'd have to redo the characters, but sounds like you were anticipating that anyway...

I think what GenKitty was getting at is that you can 'weight' the cards... so if you have 70 cards, 50 being identical and 20 being various treasure you can have 1x gold card but give it a weight of 50, then give all the others a weight of 1 and the chances of getting each card will be as you want it instead of having to have 50x gold cards... if the amount of gold differs just use a variable roll output to give you that option. I know i'm late to the party as you've made the deck now... but that is how you could have done it ;)

That solves a huge problem for me, thanks GV
Did I mention I've been using Roll20 for about 3 days now, I'm still learning. Thanks for all this helpful info..

I still consider myself new too don't worry... soooo much to learn and so many different ways to achieve the same result. The best thing in my humble opinion about roll20 is the sheer number of super awesome people willing to help answer any and every question a new/old/noob/experienced user may have. Ask away good sir, someone out there invariably knows the answer :)
