Start at level one, Stats use the Standard Array present in both the Basic Rules & the PHB. Any standard PHB races are fine, custom and DMG races upon approval. This setting is weird and heavily based on puzzles and thinking. So if you're just looking to hit stuff until you win, this is definitely not for you. Also, don't bother buying equipment that isn't either weapons or armor. Because it has a very "28 Days Later", "Walking Dead" kind of beginning. I'm looking to start in about 3 hours. Also, this is a one-shot. So even if it goes well, i don't plan on moving forward with it.
