Solomon Kane: Storm of War (Savage Worlds system) Looking for players

Looking for a couple of players to join our Savage Worlds of Solomon Kane game. We are entering the third part of an epic storyline. We have a good group of players with strong roleplaying stressed. We will be playing every other Thursday starting on Feb. 26. We start at 9pm CST. If interested PM me a message with your skype name. We'll then do a pre-game character building Skype call. See below for campaign info: Solomon Kane is many things, but above all, he is a hero. In a time of savagery and horror, he wanders the darkest corners of the Earth and battles the evil he finds hidden within. From the savage interior of Africa to the cold forests of Europe, the frigid mountains of Cathay, and the blood-soaked jungles of South America he battles merciless butchers, deathless queens, and even winged demons in his pursuit of righteous vengeance. Now your hero can follow the Path of Kane . Whether a Puritan wanderer, a misguided pirate, or a soldier of fortune, a time of legend has come and fate has chosen her champions. Kane began the fight against an ancient evil so great it could destroy humanity, but now others must carry the torch into the darkness. Strap on a brace of pistols, sharpen your blade, and steel your mind. You are about to walk the Path Solomon Kane! NATURE OF THE BEAST: (First Story Arc Starting) In a time of savagery and horror, you wander the darkest corners of the Earth and battle the evil you find hidden within. Hand-picked by Solomon Kane are a new group of "Wanderers" chosen to follow the "Path of Kane". They have been chosen to investigate the strange deaths of villagers and mutilated livestock within a hamlet in Wallachia. Rumors abound about a mysterious sect of monks that are bringing back to the area, from Constantinople, the decapitated head of the region's former prince, Vlad Teppes. Join with other heroes who find themselves investigating the rumor of a long dead cursed prince within the mountains of Wallachia in the year of our lord 1596. (First Story Arc Completed) DEAL WITH THE DEVIL: (Second Story Arc Starting) The party is going to rescue Stanislaw (held in Hungary), the brother of the Prince of Moldavia (Prince Leremia Movila). They are doing this with the hopes that Prince Movila will then send the reinforcements he promised (but is witholding) into Wallachia to help the besieged, Prince Michael the Brave, ruler of Wallachia fighting the Ottomans. Prince Movila was supposed to send help to honor his oath of the Christian Alliance. However, Prince Movila (who rules as a puppet leader under Poland's influence) is instructed not to help in the hopes of taking over the Wallachian throne as well. Rudolf II, king of Hungary, holds Stanislaw to also influence Moldavia not to help so he can claim the throne of Wallachia, with a puppet ruler of his choice. Politics, politics, politics. In addition, Solomon told the group that he believed that a mysterious Cardinal Travelli, (a.k.a. the Deatheater) and his three devout archbishops were behind a plot to "revive" certain key cruel and viscious figures to gather power and fight the Muslims. The Cardinal & his archbishops had been excommunicated 20 years ago because of their dark practices of ancient lore. They now continue that dark path pursuing their twisted fervor in fighting the muslims. Solomon Kane believed they next planned on "reviving" Kubla Khan & Tomas de Torquemada (a famously cruel leader of the Inquisition in Spain). Solomon did assure the party that they wouln't be "revived" in the same fashion as Prince Vlad Teppes because Anubis would allow only one Avatar to represent him. After nine days within the city of Budapest, the party manages to rescue the captured Prince Stanislaw of Moldavia. With his return, his brother Prince Movila, will be forced to honor his oath of sending aid to Prince Michael of Wallachia. The party however fails to stop the rising of Tomas de Torquemada by the dark druids of the Blighted Grove. Now two long dead cruel leaders have been raised to fight in the "unholy" pact to defeat the Ottoman hordes. They did manage to slay the evil Cardinal Travelli (The Deatheater). Returning Stanislaw to his brother, Prince Movila sends troops to stop the siege against Prince Michael's forces. They learn that before the siege could be lifted a traitor had assassinated Prince Michael of Wallachia. It is believed that the assassination was at the orders of King Rudolf II of Hungary. (Second Story Arc Completed) STORM OF WAR: (Third Story Arc Starting) Now the party heads east across the Black Sea to the far lands of Cathay. They seek to stop the rising of the third cruel ruler, Kubla Khan. On their journey they are hunted by enemies they've made upon the way and those who serve the Ottoman empire.

Solomon Kane is set in our historical setting of 1599. Yet the elements we wrote off as superstition or legend exist. Light & dark magic is practiced and the world is threatened by the growing power of evil. Play as a musketeer, a pirate, a gypsy witch, a witch-hunter from the Holy Roman Empire, a Spanish conquistador, an Iroquois warrior from the New World, an English antiquarian sorcerer, a cavalry soldier of the Khan, a Muslim cleric, a marauding Cossack and so many other options.

Running a regular Witch Hunter: Invisible World game that grew out of my previous Solomon Kane game. That been going for over a year now. I just started working with another player here on Roll20 to start another Witch Hunter game using the organized play events put out by the publisher. We're hoping to build enough interest so that both of us get an opportunity to play as well as run the events. But I still really love SWoSK and would really love a chance to actually play for a change. :)
Oh wow, I'd be all over this if the time worked for me. Good luck finding able men and women, it sounds like a great time!
I would be very interested in playing. Still have room)
We do. PM me your email so I can invite you to the room and your skype name so that we can chat beforehand to get your a character built. Let me know any character thoughts you have.

I would be interested in playing :) I usually use Google Hangouts, never tried Skype, but my account is under jscifert. One question: Are we using only the Solomon Kane book, or are we using the SWD ruleset, or a hybrid of both? Any house rules? Thanks!
Pretty much the Solomon Kane book.
Awesome ;) I will PM you my character concept if you have availability. What Rank are we? Starting Novice?
Let's start with your idea for the character type. who are they? what are their motivations, issues, quirks and background.

Hero: Cassidy Larrieux, Shaman Appearance/Personality: With her curly red hair and fair skin, Cassidy is your typical Irish-looking lass, fair skinned, with ethereal beauty and a fiery temper! She loves to joke and has a dry wit, but when confronted with a situation which calls for her skills, she is all business! Background/Motivation: Cassidy is a powerful shaman who is closely tied to the Igbo deity, Ala. Her Catholic upbringing was fairly strict and she followed the tenets of the Catholic faith religiously in her home city of Dublin. Unknown to her, her father was a former explorer of the dark continent and a gambler who owed much to a local baron; one day, the baron sent some of his unique enforcers (the non-living kind) to enforce collection on his debts. The man, frightened and a coward at heart, offered up his daughter as payment for the debt. The baron accepted this payment and took Cassidy. The young sixteen-year old Cassidy was terrified and cried out for help. Assistance arrived, although not in the way she expected. Her cries brought the attention of the Igbo deity, Ala, who offered to help. With the assistance of Ala, Cassidy escaped her captors and has thereafter dedicated herself to freeing captured and enslaved people wherever she finds them and to capturing and putting into the hands of justice those who perpetrate such crimes. Eight years later she finds herself wandering on the Path of Kane.
