Vision around corners not modeled correctly for Pathfinder/3.5?

http://imgur.com/4Jk3S58 In that image the rogue should be able to throw a dagger at the fighter. It has always been in 3.5 and Pathfinder that if the rogue was in that position they would both have line of sight to each other, and the rogue would have cover from the fighter, but the fighter would have no cover. Well in Roll20 in those positons the rogue would not even see the fighter at all. It would look like this: http://imgur.com/4dywkLV
Vision is based on the center of the token, not corners. The best way to emulate this would be to use alt-drag movement to place yourself on the corner. Also Roll20 is system agnostic so if you would really want different dynamic lighting profiles you would likely need to open a suggestion for it.

I work around this by allowing my players to 'peek' around corners as a free action, using alt-drag they can move their tokens so that they straddle the fully in cover square and the open square (to the thief's left in your image). This represents leaning out and taking a look or as per your example, launching a dagger but also shows that the token could just as well 'lean' back into cover should they then be attacked in turn. Hope that makes sense, its been a useful fudging of the rules for me... and boy doesn't 3.5 have a LOT of rules lol. edit: gah, semi-sniped by Kevin! Knew i shoulda hit refresh before replying!

If you want the tokens to peek around corners easier, you might want to consider the dynamic lighting (supporter feature) line placement also. Just having it place in a slightly different placement say in the middle of the wall or on the inside, it will allow some peeking like you indicate. Now if it is just a fog of war situation then that is up to the GM to decide where it gets removed and the pc gets to see.
Thanks for the tips guys, I'll link my DM to this thread.

Yes Brian, I meant supporter. I was thinking one thing and typed the other. Ziechael, it only burns if I let it. :P

I think we took this thread off topic enough.
No worries, it's entertaining to read. DM Chiming in: Thank you guys, I've learned a little today and the alt+drag seems like a reasonable compromise.
