So, I've been working on making official looking documents for all sorts of things. Medical records, police reports, government forms and stuff like that. While I've gotten some of them decent enough I'm beginning to think that the best way forward would be to gather a good selection of samples of actual documents of that type. So, my question is, anyone know of a good place to find stuff like that? What language the documents are in isn't of much consequence, their contents aren't as important as their looks. Thanks in advance for any advice, links or whatnot :)
you can download them off the internet. Medical: http://www.freeprintablemedicalforms.com/ Police: http://www.nh.gov/safety/divisions/nhsp/ssb/crimrecords/documents/dssp256.pdf http://www.njsp.org/info/pdf/ucr/sp-153.pdf Gov: http://www.opm.gov/forms/standard-forms/ Banks: (you have to search for a particular file - there are waaay to many to do a general search of)
This is better than I could have hoped. Thank you kindly Chris :)
This is a very good source. Thank you Chris :) Asaram, for corporate reporting, business documents and the like, I might have some that might be of interest if you need it.
That would be awesome. I think you've got my email already? Or you can just PM me a link :)
So, anyone else have any good sources/ideas for all this? I'm still working on compiling a healthy bunch of "made up" papers that can be edited to fit into different campaigns, but I'm still missing a lot of stuff like actual police reports (not just forms), medical papers, warrants (or anything that looks reasonably good) and so on. Any help would be appreciated.

what country? I think different countries have different styles of reports. If it is in america then just open the newspaper and go to the police section to gather your police info. Usually most of the newspapers report all the facts like who did what, when it happened, where it happened. You would have to supply the why part as most criminals don't say. As for the others, good luck but check out your local library and see if they have anything you can use.

Any help would be appreciated. Google Image Search "federal search warrant" gives a few options. I have one I mocked up for a former law enforcement game that represents a search warrant in Arizona the PCs were issued - I can pass it a long to you if you'd like. I think I built it in Paint.net, so I might still have the .pdn files too if you like it. Send me a PM with your email address if you're interested.
Both of these turned out to be good tips, thank you. I would also like to give a public tip. Turns out that while Swedish law-enforcement won't send you the template for a police-report even if you ask nicely a New York one will. +1 for New York?

Just remember that all TPS reports will have a cover sheet.
I'm trying to find an off-topic thread to ask an off topic question. Dave D or anyone else who can give me the answer... How do you copy a portion or all of someone's post and then reply in your own post with the solid line block, that let's everyone know you are responding to that someone's post? Dave D did this 3 posts before this post.
