Shield of Cydonia; Ship Stats... etc

The Gloriana -class Battleship was a massive class of Imperial Battleship constructed during the height of the Great Crusade and were operational from the late 30th Millennium into the early 31st Millennium during the Horus Heresy. Each of these mighty vessels was highly individualistic and unique from one another in both form and armament. During the Great Crusade each individual Space Marine Legion acquired at least one such vessel which inevitably became the Legion's flagship, utilised by their respective Primarchs. This role was due to these warships' incredible array of firepower, which allowed them to single-handedly batter entire fleets or recalcitrant planets into submission. These warships were far larger than any other known class of Imperial vessel, with the two exceptions of the mobile star-fortress known as the Phalanx used by the Imperial Fists Legion and the Abyss-class Battleships unleashed by the Word Bearers Traitor Legion during the Heresy. The largest of these vessels, the Macragge's Honour , is twenty-six kilometers in length, while the Shield of Cydonia is twenty-two kilometers in length. As expected of such monumental warships, the armor of the Gloriana -class was incredibly thick and protected by overlapping Void Shields which allowed them to absorb stupendous amounts of damage. During the Great Crusade, these warships helped the Legiones Astartes swiftly conquer and bring newly-discovered worlds into Imperial Compliance, which helped to establish the nascent Imperium of Man and its domination of the known galaxy. These vessels were effective at sundering numerous xenos fleets and were put to similar use during the Horus Heresy. During the conflict several of these ships were destroyed in combat but because of the ailing state of the Imperium following the galaxy-wide rebellion, which cost the galaxy dearly in both blood and treasure, the Mechanicum's shipyards were unable to continue producing such powerful and advanced vessels. The Shield of Cydonia was the flagship of the Sons of Athena. A substantial number of decks of the great vessel have been dedicated to medicae and laboratoriums filled with cloning tanks and stasis chambers for the purpose of force growing specialized Gorgonseed Progenoid Glands that can be implanted into either male and female humans that have received the Athenian retrovirus serum. The serum was the key to the genetic engineering program instituted by the Legion's Primarch, and the cause of her downfall. The Shield of Cydonia also contains the remnants of the Legions war gear: including six Devourer dropships, one hundred Jetbikes, sixty-four Land Raider tanks and one Malcador super heavy tank, as well as four remaining Virus Bombs and six Vortex torpedoes in its torpedo bay (which has room for a maximum of sixteen torpedoes or bombs in total; twenty if four were left in the tubes, logs mention that it originally carried ten Virus Bombs, five were employed during the Great Crusade). The Shield of Cydonia 's prow launch bay is so large that it may fit four voidships of frigate class or smaller, and its port and starboard launch bays each house three of its Devourer dropships in addition to a total of two wings of Marauder bombers capable of functionally in atmosphere or space. In its day the vessel carried five hundred Space Marines, all their support auxiliaries, vehicles and equipment. It still contains nearly one hundred suits of 'Crusade' model mark one power armor and suitable weapons for a legion of super warriors. Lastly, the Shield of Cydonia is outfitted with an archaeotech Castellan-pattern triple voidshield array that includes multiple redundant systems and an overload capacitor fail safe system that allowed it to automatically restore an overloaded voidshield up to three times per day, it could also effectively double its voidshield rating for a single strategic turn (from 3 to 6, although it also doubles the power consumption from 9 to 18), although on the strategic turn immediately following the array has one less shield available due to the strain placed on its emitters, one shield emitter must be taken offline to avoid being damaged. The overload capacitors are currently damaged, requiring exotic materials not found on board to repair, the void shield generators suffered battle damage the last time they were employed which the heretics guess was during the Great Crusade, evidence remains that partial repairs were conducted so it wasn't difficult to bring the primary void shield online with a little effort on the part of the traitorous Crimson Guard repair crews, the secondary and tertiary shields remain damaged along with the overload capacitors which are an archaeotech component that doesn't look like a simple fix (-50 to Tech-Use tests even if the necessary parts are acquired). Speed 4 VU Maneuverability +0 Detection +20 Hull Integrity 130 Armor 20 Turret Rating 4 Space 125/150 used Weapons: 3 Prow (one lance, four plasma accelerated torpedo tubes, and a launch bay), 2 Starboard (bombardment cannon battery and a launch bay), 2 Port (bombardment cannon battery and a launch bay), 1 Dorsal (macro-battery) 95 power used, out of 110 power produced. When the heretics discovered the Shield of Cydonia, it was adrift in the black between stars, and was missing its main plasma engines. According to the ships log the drive had been jettisoned to avert the destruction of the battlecruiser after it sustained catastrophic damage. The heretics later retrofitted it with the plasma drive from a crippled Imperial Navy light cruiser. In its hey day, the ships drive would have produced ~100 units of power every hour, and the vessels systems would have consumed nearly all of it when in battle. Essential Components : Ancient Life Sustainer, Fleet Flag Bridge, Gellar Field, Triple Castellan Shield Array, Voidsman Quarters, Warp Drive, and a X-470 Ultimo Array. Supplementary Components : Additional Armor Plating, Cloning Facility, Delphi-pattern Launch bays x3, Delphi-pattern Bombardment Cannon Batteries x2, Delphi-pattern Turbo-Macrobattery, Manufactorum, Medica Deck, Munitorium, Overload Shield Capacitors, Plasma Accelerated Torpedo Tubes, Reinforced Bulkheads, Spacedock Pier, Superior Damage Control, Teleportarium, and Titanforge Lance.
Updates While its true that all three void shields are functional, the Shield of Cydonia is only able to power one void shield at a time unless they re-allocate power from the weapon systems (depowering the bombardment cannons, the titansforge lance, and the plasma accellerated torpedo tubes) or the ships realspace engines (essentially giving your enemies a big stationary target to shoot at). The recent ship battle has inflicted 23% crew population loss, and 18% morale loss. The fleet flag bridge required emergency repairs to re-pressurize and restore power to. The crew population loss contributed to the lack of a full crew (I think you started at 50%) meaning that the Shield now has a -10 penalty to maneuverability, a -5 penalty to Boarding Actions, repulsing Hit and Run attacks, fighting fires, and making Emergency Repairs. All travel times are increased by +1d5 days. Additionally, the vessel has fired all of its remaining guided plasma torpedoes , it still has six (essentially unique) mighty vortex torpedoes left (enough for a single salvo, or six individual shots). Vortex torpedoes have the following stats (taking into account their plasma accelerated tubes): Speed 14 VU, Damage 2d10+5, Crit rating 6+, Range 60 VU, Terminal Penetration 5 (you may re-roll any die that comes up less than 5 once, and critical hits are scored if any damage die comes up 6 or higher rather than the number of hits scored), Terrifying 1 (each hit inflicts 1d5 additional Morale damage), a +10 to BS to hit, and they ignore armor as well as void shields. Even if you only deal 2 damage with a vortex torpedo they always cause a minimum of one critical hit if they strike a ship at all. They have standard guidance systems, nothing fancy. Lastly, Ramming and Boarding actions do not require Morale checks to initiate. Though if the action is successful, it may certainly trigger them, especially Ramming actions.
As of the moment that the Uncompromising Lack of Integrity arrives in the Hadex Anomaly, it has been traveling for ~4 months, while the Shield of Cydonia has installed 50% of the new plasma drives and has dispatched teams to recover archaeotech devices in the Sagacity system to attempt to restore the archaeotech Void Shields. Salvaging the ordance on board the Imperial strike group ships nets at total of 9 plasma torpedoes and 11 boarding torpedoes. Several raids are conducted on the crippled ships to conscript Imperial naval ratings who can be subjected to re-education to train them to operate the archaeotech components of the Shield of Cydonia. Once again as a reminder, the brainwashing technology merely educates the subject in how to operate equipment and vehicles it does not instill morale or loyalty only the Heretics can do that, the actual training modules were designed by a Primarch with decades of experience and access to Dark Age technology. There are of course teaching machines to quickly train Gorgon-seed Space Marines. Negotiation with the Eldar aboard ship reaches a breakthrough about a month after that, when the Wych reveals that in exchange for capturing a dangerous foe of the Eldar, they will provide the Heretics with coordinates for a gate located in the void between the stars of the Slinnar Drift that allows massive voidships, such as Craftworlds or the Shield of Cydonia to access to the Webway and thus an alternative path out of the Jericho Reach. The Wych will have to make contact with something called a Haemonculus to acquire the coordinates but first it suggests dispatching hunters to the world of Amenophis IV to acquire a lead on the Eldar's enemy. The identity of this foe will be revealed once the hunters reach the world in question and not before, to ensure that the Heretics are acting in good faith. The Eldar have had poor relations with other humans and have long memories.
As of the Daemonship's arrival in the Coil system, the Shield of Cydonia is almost completely repaired with the exception of the archaeotech void shield overcharge capacitors, it now has enough power to activate all three void shields simultaneously. It also has a full crew of over 1 million trained personnel, and a morale of 100%.
