Player LFG FFG SW RPG EotE/AoR/FaD beta, Mon/Thurs/Fri after 6pm MST, Sat/Sun anytime

Hi! I am looking to join a Star Wars RPG game, hopefully one that includes content from the FaD beta (which is final now, iirc). Looking to be a player, not a GM. I am available after 6 pm MST on the following days: Monday, Thursday, Friday. I am available pretty much anytime after 10 am MST on the weekends. A little bit about me: I have been playing 4E/Roll20 for about 2 years. Have not tried any other systems (on Roll20 at least), other than a game of Axis & Allies. I did play the EotE Beginner Game once. I'm very comfortable with the interface here, macros, character sheets, and so on. I have a mic and Skype/Hangouts/Ventrilo/Mumble, but no camera. I prefer the "yes, and..." style of play. Collaborative roleplaying, player agency, no mundane skill checks, interesting failure... Rules and rolls decide what happens, players (this includes gm) discuss what kind of game they want and stick to it, keeping the tone relative to the context. I prefer fun over simulation/realism. Blocking ("you can't do that") sucks (unless the reason is rules/context/rolls). Players shouldn't try to do things that are against the spirit of the game they've agreed to play. Hate rails :) If I sound like a fit for your game, please reply here or send me a PM. Thanks!

Hey, I'm actually interested in the same thing! I'm currently GM'img a tabletop EotE/AoR campaign and would love to play as a non-GM. Have you found much interest?
None at all, heh :)
Haha, alright. Well, I guess we wait and see if there are any other bites. On that note, I 'could' be convinced to GM if no one else is interested but I'm a newer GM and not used to the Roll20 interface completely yet.
Well if you did GM this I would love to play. Its so hard to find a group for EotE/AoR.
Wesley, what's your availability like?
Matthew, what can I do to convince you to GM? :)
Haha, well, first off, put up with my total inexperience with both the Roll20 system and GM'ing. Only been GM'ing for a few months and never on Roll20 Second, I'd like to get a third player. In the campaign I'm GM tabletop, we've had sessions or 3, 4, and 5. In the FFG system, my experience is three seems to be a golden number. Third, I'd love to hear a little more about what parts of the SW universe you guys are interested in. While the EotE, AoR, and FaD systems have 95% overlap and everything blends well (IMHO at least), I want to GM a game you guys want to play!
I've only played the beginner game as a player. Roll20 is easy to pickup, and I can help with that. :) I'm sure if you decided to run, we could get 3 players easy. I don't have experience with the game, but I am glad to hear 3 is a good number. Most of my RP experience is with 4E, where my preference was 4 players. I've listed my likes/dislikes for game style in the OP, but as for SW specifically... My knowledge of the SW universe comes from the movies. Haven't read any books (or comics). My interests lie in doing cool things with lightsabers and the force, Sith, Jedi, dark Jedi, politics, ambiguous morality (though I found the movies mostly black and white), and...action. Lots of action! Noting that by action, I don't mean kill anything that moves... If we were separating this by the three systems, I think I'd be in the FaD camp. Hopefully that answers your question? If not, I can ramble on and on and on...
Well I haven't had a chance to play this system yet so I'm new to it =p Yeah 3 to 4 was always my favorite number Like dfn most of SW knowledge comes from the movies and a few games. I'm pretty much interested in everything about the universe. From being a smuggler to being a Jedi I don't really mind what style the game is but I do lean a little more toward the doing cool stuff with the force side of things. Btw if you have more questions you can just add me on skype (probrodood)
Totally new to EotE, just picked up the beginner box and rulebook. If you want a third, I could join if you guys don't mind the inexperience. Haven't read anything about the other two settings though. The stuff I'm interested in would be mostly the EotE stuff, the focus on bounty hunting, smuggling and the sort is what really interested me with this. Though I've always loved all the lore behind the Sith and the Dark Side, so I would be up for the FaD stuff too. Though I'd have even less knowledge there.

Alright, I think you guys have convinced me. Dylan, yeah, you are welcome to join us. I know one guy IRL that may want to join; I emailed him this evening. I'll spend the next few days getting used to the Roll20 system and waiting to see if my friend gets back to me. Regarding the number of PC's, I do have a few fairly strong personalities in the tabletop group so four will almost certainly work fine; I think I have an odd sampling. Mondays are best for me (my wife is busy most Monday evenings) and I can do many Thursdays. I'd suggest we stick to one of those days if that's OK with everyone. I really like the Beginner's game to teach the system; it does a good job of adding in new features gradually. However, since dfn has already done it, we can start elsewhere. On that topic, dfn, how far along did you guys play in that game? Did you run the Long Arm of the Hutt encounters? Has anyone else read any pre-made or fan-made adventures that I should stay away from? P.S. Sorry for totally hijacking this thread dfn!
My preference is Thursdays to Mondays but I can do both. Where would you prefer we start? We completed the EotE beginner game. Finished it and got off the planet, barely. I don't think we did the Long Arm of the Hutt encounters, but I can't remember the name of the adventure, other than it was part of the beginner game. I have not read or played any other adventures. Don't apologize, you didn't hijack it - or, if you did, I am grateful!
I was gonna DM the beginner game in a few days with people I play Pathfinder with, I'm up for playing through it before though. I can do any weekday after 4:30 CST.
Both Monday and Thursdays are fine with me. 5:00 pm CST would be a great time to start for me.
Well, it sounds like Mondays or Thursdays at 6:00 PM MST/7:00 PM CST/8:00 PM EST are they best! Should we discuss more in PM's?
Well, I'm having trouble starting a PM with everyone. Dylan does not seem to be coming up in the PM Recipient search and if I go to his profile to create a message, it won't let me add anyone else. Am I missing something obvious?
Sure. Or make a campaign and start inviting :)
