Call of Cthulhu 7th Sheet confusion

Hello all, I've added a couple of new skills to the sheet for a modern day game I'm running. These skills don't appear in the Attributes and Abilities section of the sheet like I'd expect them to. This makes it seemingly impossible to reference these skills with macros. Can anyone help? Thanks, Si

Hi Si. Does your input look something like? <input title="@{something}" type="text" name="attr_something" placeholder="Enter Something">
Hi Vince. No it doesn't. When I say I've added new skills I mean I've just clicked the add button on the sheet and typed values into the boxes.

Ohhh. I thought you had modified the sheet to include some new skills... my bad. You are adding a repeatable item (wiki explination). Unlike the other attributes that are "hard" coded into the sheet, repeatable items don't get added to the attribute list, since they haven't been created yet. Hence the "+Add" button. It's a current limitation of how repeatable items are handled by roll20. There's a suggestion here Official support for repeating sections in character sheets
Thank you for the explanation. Would it be possible to achieve a compromise with something like 5 blank fields named added_skill_name1-5 and added_skill_value1-5 before it became a repeatable section? Thats how the d&d 5e sheet handles inventory I think.
Either way it's not a big deal for me right now, my players will just have to roll their hacking and forgery skills from their sheet. cheers!

Si, yes it's possible to do what you suggest by adding static rows. In fact, that's the approach I ended up taking with Augmentations on my Savage Worlds (Tabbed) Sheet.

Thats how the d&d 5e sheet handles inventory I think. The PF sheet has 27(0-26) buttons for each repeatable section. Makes for a nice alternative, but the sheet now sits at around 5700+ lines of html. I wish roll20 could make a change to the system to work with repeatable items/attributes...
I upvoted the suggestion so hopefully we will see some movement.

I think I'll make the modifications myself on a custom sheet before I message him. It might save effort and time for him.

Good luck. Hi VInce, sorry trying to get better about watching this forum for questions on the sheets I wrote. I have actually been adding static fields in front of the repeating fields for my Runequest sheet specifically for the reasons you addressed. There are a few recent changes adding static weapons and since people seem to want it I'll add a few in the remaining space of the skills section too.

I'll have to take a look at your RQ sheet. Might have to steal your idea for another sheet I've been working on...
