Want to DM a Solo game for someone to learn roll20. Who's interested?

Just what the title says. I want to run a simple game to get used to using roll20. I'm an experienced, no-life, kind of DM. I can run D&D 2nd Ed, 3.5 (please no), 5th Ed., Pathfinder, Mutants and Masterminds 3rd Ed., Pathfinder, Tri-Stat dX (yes, seriously), Mythic, and probably a few others I forgot. My preference is D&D 5th Edition because I'm a bit inexperienced with it yet, and becasue I like 5e. I can do this this upcoming Thursday or Saturday, so I'll want to find a player and figure out what system/genre of game to run by this Tuesday at the latest.

This is probably going to be more of a one-shot than an epic-length campaign; there's the possibility of continuing the game that Saturday following the Thursday, but more than likely 1-2 sessions is going to be it. I'm planning on running a 5th edition game, probably nautical in theme, probably every other week, once I get 1) my new work schedule and 2) get used to using roll20. Whoever ends up doing this solo one-shot or otherwise shows interest in this, is welcome to join that campaign, but I'm not even planning that yet.

It's not even a half hour yet and I have a couple applicants; I might do this multiples times to get the hang on things.

I impartially rolled dice to give priority. The first couple of people on the list should roll up and post a character with some sort of personal hook or motivation. The person the closest to the top of the list who posts a complete character in time gets the game; you all have a couple days. oops, sorry Level 1 27 point buy for ability scores Any race from the player's handbook or aasimar or eladrin elf subrace on page 286 from the DMG Any class from the player's handbook, and I'll permit death domain clerics or oathbreaker paladins on pg 96-97 from the DMG; evil characters are permitted because it's not as big a deal in solo format games; just so long as I know he alignment before-hand. Make sure to note alignment For backgrounds, please stick to the ones in the book, rather than making a custom background; roll for bonds/flaws/etc. for fun if you want, or pick and choose. Normal starting gear based on background and class is recommended and roll for a trinket if you want; you can also roll starting funds instead, if you want to go that route. The setting: typical LG European fantasy land. Nearby small town and a couple of villages sprinkled around, all races present but mostly human area, bandit activity on the rise as the king is away with his armies on a crusade. Feel free to make up details if it's important to your character (make up a barbarian tribe for your barbarian character, or make up a god for your cleric, etc); just don't use this to power-cheese. I have a basic adventure in mind already, but I'll tailor it to your character. There'll probably be elements from multiple submissions, just in case I have to go down the list, so your God or barbarian tribe might make it into the game without you (sorry).

Please post interest here instead of PMs; this way I have a log of people to invite to later solo games or real campaigns.

It looks like I need to learn to use a calendar. The game is TOMOROW (Thursday), not today. Because I screwed things up and did confusing things, I'll accept characters tonight as well (Wed), until 10:30 pm.

Please continue to use this forum instead of PMs for information/questions/interest on this game. I'll continue to consider interest on this game to be interest on simular games in the future.
