GM whispering to self

I'd like to recommend that the GM be allowed to whisper to her-/himself.  There are times when weapons and/or spells may have additional affects depending on the level of success that s/he may not want the players to see and would like to set that information up in a macro.  That way when the macro is run the GM can be reminded of anything special about the weapon, power, skill, etc.

Just a thought.

I've been running into this a lot myself.  I currently work around this by writing it as "/gr 0d1 [Wall of Text]" but it's cumbersome and wastes a lot of space in the chat.  It's the same thing as having to write out "/r 0d1 10 + 1 + @{Wizard}" when all you want is for a single line to read "Save: 12 Ref negates" or anything else where you just want a plain old number done for you in-line.

Thanks Joshua - I'll give that workaround a try...I hadn't thought of doing it that way, cumbersome (in this situation) is better than nothing.

Yeh, that's what I do too. But whispering to self would be a better solution :-)

I just noticed the message today that said "It seems like you are trying to whisper to yourself. Are you insane?"  While I appreciate that the devs have a sense of humor, I really would have preferred if it had actually just worked.

Indeed. +1 for self-whispers.

For all players, mind.  I don't want a dev to look at this and think that only GM's benefit from this, I've got quite a few players who like to give themselves notes on what their shit does with their macros and abilities.

I like this idea, for both players and GM! +1
