Character Sheet pop outs and such

What is this New feature about pop out menus and things for the Character sheets, and such, is this something new, or is this new rollout got stuff added to it, i dont know what im doing

For me, the pop-outs do not work. If I try it on a character sheet, I get the pop-out window, I get the tabs for the sheet. byt the tabs are all blank - just the tab headings. I am running firefox on a PC.

I found a fix (unless it's intended to be like this) Go to my Settings (Gear Tab) scroll down until you find "Use Window Popouts for Characters" Check the box next to it. Test to confirm That allowed my newly created window to display all the proper settings. I assume it's an issue with double displaying the same information. (to pop it out without this setting, the window is required to be open on the main V-top. I assume popping it out, closing the old, and pressing refresh or F5 would get it to act correctly.) This is only a temporary solution unless a Dev can confirm or deny this bug/feature.

I have the same problem with Firefox (on Ubuntu Linux over here). I had it back on the Dev server, but when I posted it on the feedback there, they weren't able to reproduce it. So, I'm not sure what's different about our Firefox as compared to the others. My workaround was just to use Chromium (basically, Chrome) for Roll20 on the dev server. Thank you for this other workaround! (Sadly, I still have to run Chromium to use Google Hangouts for Voice, as I haven't found a way to get that to work in Firefox.)

I'm going to move this post to the bug reports forum since there seem to be people with multiple issues. To get the simple stuff out of the way, can you all please follow Steps 1-3 of our Solving Technical Issues wiki page, taking special care to temporarily disable all browser add-ons and extensions, temporarily pause your anti-virus, and try switching browsers (for Chrome/Firefox specific issues) to see if one of those components is causing the problem. If all of that fails, please follow Step 4 , including providing all of the necessary information, so that we can further assist you.

For me, it works in Chrome just fine. For Firefox, changing the setting to always use popouts works (thanks!) but I feel like if there is a popout button that should probably work too. (I get the tabs but nothing else using the button. If I try F5, I just get a totally blank window.)

Boko, would you mind looking at both the console for the original window and the pop-out window and posting them here if they have any errors in them? It will help us figure out what the issue is. Edit: Also, what character sheet are you using?

For me, the issue of blank pop-out windows only occurs in Firefox. Works fine in Chrome.

The tip above, of marking Popouts for character sheet in the settings (posted by Trooper0102 on 11th march) works for me on Firefox

Here is one I noticed with the Dungeon World Character Sheet. The Sheet looks fine in the normal Journal window. But when you switch to a popout view The black bar divider rows in the abilities section of the sheet are stretched. Using Google Chrome Ver. 41.0.2272.89 m

I was in a one shot today and I was using the Dungeon World character sheet. The Edit button does not work in the Pop Out Character Sheet.

I have deactivated the "Use popout" in the options, have re-tested it in Firefox, and can confirm that it works as I would expect... Click on character journal and you get a non-pop out sheet overlay with the stats shown. Click the popout button, and it turns into a new window (popout) with the character now shown correctly. All good as far as I can see :-)

I have a different issue. Please let me know if I should put this in another place besides this thread. When I pop-out the character sheet and then use the X button to close it. I can not longer open the character sheet, neither by click on the character in the journal, nor by shift-clicking the token. I do not have "use window popouts for Characters" enabled but when I do that, the same problem occurs. I have tested for all the things in the journal (other characters and handouts which I can see) and it is the same issue. Basically, I can not close the pop out window for fear of not being able to open it again. This is fixed if I close the app/browser tab and reopen. I am using the latest Chrome browser.
