Very new player looking to learn Pathfinder or D&D (any edition)

I've played Pathfinder twice, once as a GM and once as a player and really enjoyed it. I'd like to have someone sort of take me under their wing and start with square one with me. (including creating a character) I've got all core basic books for pathfinder and am a great learner. please leave a reply or send me a message on here and we can get started (my girlfriend may sit in on learning the basics because she was one that I played with and also enjoyed Pathfinder 2 for 1 special?)
pre-work bump. You dont need to be an expert. Maybe just help me figure out how to create a character or two and explain the basic rules in a little more detail (the pathfinder rulebooks are a little hard to follow (WTF is flatfooted???))
lunchbreak bump
I am always looking for possible Pathfinder games. Mind you, recent changes have made it so I'm likely only going to be able to do text-only games. But just putting it out there.
yeah if you are hosting anything or have an opening for anything Lex S. let me know. just so long as y'all are newbie friendly. Also home from work bump! will be around off an on throughout the night.
Well I'm personally always happy to help new players learn the game. The campaign I'm running though has players sick of new players up and leaving and I only got space for one character in favor of my sanity. Still, I'd be happy to assist you and the lady learn. Depending on times I suppose I could host an educational workshop/game for you two and a couple of others.

I'm going to be free this evening (8pm EST) if you want a generic walkthru of character creation, setting up roll20, battle tactics, and answer whatever general questions you encounter. I'm not planning to have an actual one-shot up or anything, but some sample encounters are easy enough.

If anyone else wants to pop their head in, it's all good.
I can't seem to wrap my head around aura mechanics for monsters and could use some help. Also advice on how to kill PC's...
Oh that's simple... give them an overabundance of powerful items and just wait for them to eventually blow themselves up or turn on each other. It may take a while... oh, say level 30...but they'll do it eventually. You might have to sacrifice a couple of runelords or an ancient undead destroyer of worlds in the process but... eh, there's more where they came from.
Hey MarkG! If this is a thing that's happening, mind if I stop by? I can throw in my pair-of-coppers on whatever topics happen to come up. -Phnord who actually only has a bunch of nickels.
