Running a play by post game

I posted months ago about my thinking about running a play by post game here. Well it's a reality and it is going very well. We figured out how to show each tokens movement. Everyone posts their action descriptions, I whisper specifics to each player if it is something that only their character would see, hear, or notice. They whisper back. I had once instance that a player had his character using a thieves hide skill and I had him tell me what he was doing and I placed his token on GM layer then moved it for him. It worked well. The /desc command is used constantly and it was a wonderful addition to the commands. I use the /emas a lot also. So in general, if people have a hard time putting a group together due to scheduling, they might want to think about trying out a play by post game. It not as fast as a regular game but the cool thing is that a regular game can be worked into a play by post game when people have time to get together.
A  great GM helps things run smooth! Doing a fine job sir!

Thank you and all my players are doing great also. There is a level of trust there also that is hard to find sometimes (from viewing some posts) but I've gotten lucky again when I recruited this group.
What system are you running it under? I may be interested if you're looking for more players.

I have room for 1 more player and that would make it 6 players if you joined. I use a house ruled version of BFRPG. BFRPG.org   The Basic Fantasy Role-Playing Game is a rules-light game system modeled on the classic RPG rules of the early 1980's. Though based loosely on the d20 SRD v3.5, Basic Fantasy RPG has been written largely from scratch to replicate the look, feel, and mechanics of the early RPG game systems. It is suitable for those who are fans of "old-school" game mechanics.
Ok, so like AD&D and what that one guy was using in the game we played in together. Well, it lasted like one game but that's besides the point.

yeah it is similar to AD&D but without the thaco. It uses the ascending combat roles. I have 3 games running using this system. One of them is a live game on roll20, another is a pbp game on another forum, and then this game.
