I'm hosting a D&D 4e game, looking for 5 players.

Hello everyone. I'm hosting a D&D 4e game, as the title says. I'm looking for 5 players (though one slot is already taken) that would like to join up for a long-term campaign. I'm actually looking for players who are new to D&D because I'm fairly new as well, so keep that in mind. I will help each character build their character from scratch, and I have access to D&D insider to speed the process along. All that I ask is that you create some sort of history for your character. PM'ing me may work, but the best way to sign up is on this post. Thanks everyone!

What kind of setting is it? Regular Nentir Vale? Forgotten realms? Eberron?

Forgotten Realms, I'm thinking. I'm going to use the lore and take creative liberty to create a quest that will (hopefully) be fun. I'm not a stickler for the history, so if that's a problem then I'd advise against my campaign.

What time and day are you planning on the group getting together? I have DnD insider and am looking to play.

That will be up to the party. I'm available most days, barring Thursdays and some Sundays. Most nights I could start the game at around 10:00 P.M. EST, but if we needed to play later we could. Some days I could swing earlier, too. Once the group is assembled, we will talk out the date and time.

Sounds like it would be fun. I also have access to D&D Insider as well and would love to be able to come up with a character with a rich history.

I'm in. As a note, I'm new to 4e but have played 3.5 for a few weeks.

I'm in.  I'm new to D&D but I have the handbook PDFs etc. and I'm fairly familiar with the rules and all that.  I have a cleric all made up but I may decide to hold on to him for a game with some friends and roll up something else (preferably a sorcerer) for this.

I wouldn't mind being a defender.

Okay...there will be goblin cowboys...with lasers...riding horses that are actually tarrasques. Sounds fun, I guess.

I'm only free Wednesday nights though. The time is perfect, though. 10pm EST is my 9pm, so I would be super free.

I'd be interested if you have room as well. I have all the books, DDi sub, and experience in all dnd version. 

Seems likely this is already filled up, and if not there are others before me. I would like to play though. I've never actually played D&D, but I've watched quite a few games. I've got D&D insider, and I already built up a nice character. A Shardmind BattleMind, specifically. It's not the best combination, but I think it would be interesting to play.  I've got some back-story already thought up, and more will come quickly. At level 1, he's a defender/controller, and we'll see how that develops. Incidentally, is the plan to start at level 1, or higher? I'd prefer level 1, or close to it, and it sounds like that's the case here. This is actually great for me. I've been looking for a good long term 4e campaign that's near or at the starting levels. This is the first I've found that looked good. I'm good pretty much anytime, and once the campaign gets started I'd make sure to schedule things around it. Alright, I'd better wrap this up, my post is already longer than all the others on this page. I hope to hear from you soon, preferably with an offer of a place in this game. If not, I understand since there are a lot of people ahead of me already, so good luck with your game.

Hey guys, I'm sorry I haven't said anything in a while. As of now the party is full, but that's not to say that there won't be a "no-show" on the first session (this Thursday). If there is, I'll invite one of you and we'll just throw you into the fray somehow.
