The ability to designate and then freeze layers, I've noticed sometimes if you put a token down and make it part of the map it ends up beneath the map and is not longer visible, you need to move the entire map just to retrieve it.

Yes, I don't speak about changing layer, but ordering the objects on the same layer. Right-click, choose To Front or To Back.
