[Pr->LFG] 4e of anytype ~ Newbie friendly ~ Recurring Weekends - anytime.

Hello everyone that ventured in here. I am looking for a group to play with on the weekends. I am fairly new so as long as i can use my 4e book I don't care what we play. I would like a campaign that is not started or recently started so that I can live stream it. I do not expect many if any viewers. I just enjoy streaming. ^.^ Thank you for your time, -Z <Jason C.>
I'd be interested in joining up with you. I've never actually played, but I know how things work pretty well. I'd prefer starting with a new campaign as well, preferably at a low level. Starting at level 1 would be best. With 2 of us, we'll just need a few more players and a DM. I've already got a few plans for characters. I've got DnD Insider, which is helpful to have, so at least one person in the group will if we want to use something that comes with it. If you're going to live stream it anyway, would you consider posting the videos on Blip and/or YouTube? If you do that, then you could get a bit of ad revenue. If that's done it should probably be split among the group evenly. I'm bringing this up because I know a group that plays 4e and posts on Blip. I don't know how much they get, but it's an amount. None of us are likely to get much, but something is still nice. Even if you don't want to do any of that, I'm still interested in playing. The potential money is just an extra that we may as well get if you plan on streaming anyway. I hope to hear more about this soon. -John C
Hey, I'd be interested in starting up a game with you. My schedule is fairly open. But I think weekends (Friday in particular) would work best. I'm on the West coast. I have some experience DMing DnD 4e. But not much experience using roll20.net in a live session. I've played with the tools some but thats about it. So, I would be willing to DM but you'd have to be willing to roll with some learning curves as I learn roll20 more. But, I'd also be very open to just rolling a PC. I'm pretty much open to whatever. Would just love to play some DnD!
I am very open to learning curves. I have to deal with being new to Roll20 and DnD =D I like to do a small one time story to see what your like firs if that's ok ^.^ Improve is welcomed and encouraged. As for profit. If I got anything worth anything ya I would split it but one or two USD I probably wont care about. I'm not wanting to do this for the money though. I have fun streaming, that's what more important.
That all seems fine. I don't care much about the potential money either, just thought it was something to be aware of. Will we try and play a game later today, or wait until next weekend? I'd like to get right into it, but I know you might want time to set things up and everything. For a quick one shot to get to know each other, a pre-made quest line might work, or even just put us in a town and see what happens. Maybe have a few wild animals attacking or something just to get us all together and give us a goal. Whatever works for you.
Of course, with only two people so far, we're a bit short on party members. May be best to either wait until next week or perhaps make a new thread specifically mentioning that the first game will be tonight, in a potentially long term thing.
Yes that is what I'm looking for. The small first one i will not record and would like to get a small group together first. This is to see how everyone works together and what not. I would also like to get going ASAP. That is up to the DM.
So up to Andrew then. That seems fair. I think it best if we have at least one more PC before doing this, though. A party of 2 won't be able to do much at level 1, and if the point is to get to know each other it makes sense to wait until a good number of the future players are here. I recommend that Andrew, as the DM, makes a thread for the game, noting that it'll be a one off story to get to know each other, with the intention of becoming a long term group. By noting that we want to play ASAP, we're likely to get results more quickly.
Alright, I'm willing to DM. I could do a delve to start things off (3 encounters). I also agree 2 party members is just too small. I would want a bare minimum of 3 party members. Probably no more than 5 too. I don't want things to get too unwieldy. As for when we would do it, I think next weekend would be ideal for starting. What are both of your availability for the week?
As for the long campaign I'm going to have to hold off on that till about the 21st. Something just came up. I can do small campaigns till then thou. It'll also give me more time to set up graphics for the stream.  I'll hold off on the post for the long campaign till then. I'll let the DM post what he wants about the short campaign when he feels ready or he can let me know through PM when he want me to post.
Ok, here is the post I made: <a href="https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/172946/looking-for-1-to-2-more-players-for-a-4e-game/#post-172946" rel="nofollow">https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/172946/looking-for-1-to-2-more-players-for-a-4e-game/#post-172946</a>
Alright, I guess we'll start posting there then.
