DM Update Mode

This just came up in a campaign I was in, DM needing to create a room on the fly but accidentally moving the map tile  and revealing unintentional areas, which begs the question why don't we have the option for the DM to freeze the game map so edits can occur and then release that update to the players? During this time he can move tiles, maps, tokens what ever needed to update a "room" because lets face it sometimes PCs go in places that they shouldn't. The DM could then click "Update" and the map would at once update to the current screen of the DM, or he could clear and the lock would be released. Just an idea! I know I would personally find it very useful.
Cover things you don't want them to see yet with Fog of War. Then it's black for players and the DM can do what he wants beneath it. MUAHAHAHAH!
But what about with a background grid map that accidentally gets selected? Which is what happened :[

I suggest moving the players to another map (a waiting room) while you modify things. - Gauss
I guess that is a decent "work around" just wanted to offer a suggestion >.>

Dever, I was not commenting on your suggestion. My purpose is to help users use the tools we have currently. :) - Gauss
+1 for helpful suggestion. I do it that way myself actually, works wonders. Going to redesign my waiting rooms a bit though, make them a bit less boring.
