Multi-touch screen functionality?

Hello everyone! I am interested in using Roll20 for my local games using my custom built 60" multi-touch screen and table. I've used a couple other VTT applications and had mixed results, mostly do to small buttons/icons and/or CTRL + functions that are not native to multi-touch. My intention is to keep the GM side up on my Ultrabook, with the Player side up on the touch screen for my group to interact with. Basically, I am wanting to use Roll20 as a map display with interactive functions for my players, since they are mostly analog (roll their own dice, keep their own character sheets, etc.) and will only be looking to use Roll20 to move their character tokens with touch and drop AoE templates or designate targets or ranges. If moving tokens and templates around is all they are going to be doing, are these functions easily accomplished using multi-touch as they are using mice? Are there any other tactical functions, with regards to multi-touch interface, that I may be missing that could be problematic with this set-up? Does anyone have any experience with using multi-touch surfaces in local games? Thanks in advance for any help or advice.
Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?

I'd recommend you try it out. It doesn't cost anything but a bit of time to set up a simple campaign and test it. I can log into my campaigns on my tablet (Nexus7) and I can move my tokens and run macros and pan around on the screen. But I don't know if that translates to your device and I wouldn't want to play on my tablet due to the small screen as compared to my PC. (though I use/plan on using it for character sheets once the tablet app is out. :) Note that only the designated GM's in a campaign can create/pull out of the journal tokens though once they are on the table, anyone given access to them can move them.

One of my players regularly plays on his tablet as his main computer has a habit of breaking every monday morning (we play monday evenings!). He finds it a little bit frustrating to do the finer detail bits (rotating tokens etc) but can move around and engage in combat situations relatively effortlessly (i think he uses a usb keyboard to prevent that awful screen hogging touch one from being an issue). If you have a 60" (i mean really... that is impressive and i'm insanely jealous) touch screen then you'll have no problems in essence as even finer details will be large enough to manage... but like Diana says; try it and see. Oh, and let us know how you get on in case we all want to custom build huge touch screen playing surfaces (i'm fairly certain we already do want to but... anyway)
I've got a 32" that we set up with a touchscreen overlay thatworks decently well. Our biggest problem with Roll20 (and most other VTTs we've tried in this setup) is that the screen is quite capable of reacting to putting minis on the screen as touching it. Since most VTTs seem to treat a "left-click & hold" as a way to move the map (if it's zoomed in, and it always is for us) that means every time someone moves their miniature or swipes their hand across while picking one up (or worse, when picking up multiple minis) then the whole map swipes along with it. Sometimes a mini sitting in just the right spot will get a virtual earthquake going with the map. Maybe if there is a way in Roll20 to just reassign what is used for scrolling the screen I could fix that. I may have to look into it, but it is something to be aware of that I had never considered before trying this kind of setup.
