Registration or pivot point

Hi! I am very new to Roll20 so I am sorry if I am posting this in the wrong spot. Is there a way to change the pivot point of a token/graphic? I basically have a hex map and these large feet and right now the feet snap in middle of two hexes and rotates from there. I would like to have the feet rotate from the heel which is the back portion of the graphic. If that makes ANY sense... ;) Thanks for any help!

No, there is no means to change the pivot point.
Doh! I guess I will have to have a front and back foot graphic then. Ty for the reply.

The graphic rotates at the center. So if you set up your graphic so the point you *want* it to rotate on is the center.... You can, for example, set up a door graphic which is twice as long as the door with the door's hinge in the center. Then when you rotate it, it rotates on the hinge. Don't know if that would work for your feet or if you can modify your graphic, though.

Ahh I get what you are saying. The image would be larger than the actual graphic. Thats a great idea! I will try that tomorrow, thank you! PS, I couldnt wait and I tried it now. Works awesomely' ! ;) Ty for the help!
Just a FYI: You can also use the ALT key to avoid snap-to-grid and angle stuff, placing the item exactly where and how you want that way. Not as elegant a solution as Diana P's, but it works. -Phnord
I did see that. But then it snaps right back once I try to move it again. It was very handy for aligning the map and then leaving that layer. ;) Ty!
You can make it a drawing, right click, advance, is drawing. It will ignore the grid after that. You should also be able to size it to fit one hex Right click, advanced, set dimensions.
The problem with that is players that are unsure of how to play will be putting the pieces all over the place. I want them to snap to the hexes so they are sure of the proper placement. Another thing is...The Campaign. When I am out of the campaign it seems like players can enter it and mess with the pieces and play around. Is there no Lock on it so that things can only be moved while I am in the campaign? Thanks again for helping me with these basic questions!

I gotcha, thats the only way to lock it eh? No biggie. Its a board game anyways so they cant change much.

As HB rightly says the common practice is to have a 'splash' page that you move the players ribbon to at the end of each session. Some people create elaborate pages that continue the adventures theme (an inn or practice dungeon), some people have pleasant backdrops (the town they are in, a campsite etc), some people have fun places for the players to hang out between sessions (a pictionary style set up, or a deck of cards available etc), some people use plot information to create a kind of pinboard that helps keep people up to date (Bullet-pointed plot notes, maps, images etc) or some people just have a blank page... It's all about how much time you want to put into it and how engaging you want it to be. *is aware that i've just used dozens of words to say the same as HB but shhhhh*
Lol, thank you for explaining it in detail. Are you able to check out my campaign? Right now its a Troll's Lair, but the Dwarves enter through the lair entrance. I could have a 'ready' area for the dwarves, which I already have concepted up. I guess that would be a good start for them. Thanks again!

No problem, in fact typing all that out made me think about my splash page which had been reduced the map alone since only having time to focus on the campaign itself. I'm now mid-redesign since they are deep into the plot now and it would be fun to have it laid out like an olde worlde police investigation board so thank you for the prompt ;) More than happy to take a look for you, PM me a link and i'll cast a friendly eye over it.

I ran into this issue when I was porting Catalyst Game's Leviathans to Roll 20. It eventually did what Diana P. suggested. It may be worth a suggestion in the suggestion forum.
I would love to be able to make a large graphic like that, as I did with the feet and what Diana P suggested. But also to control its 'bounding box'. Because if I add a name tag to anything it goes to the bottom of the size of the image. If it knows where center is it should be able to scale that bounding box down so that you can not only get the Name of the token where you want it, but, its easier to select! I have a very hard time selecting things around the large feet now. I thought maybe I can put these on the GM layer? but then I have to keep switching back and forth, and I think the GM layer is just an overlay and it makes things semi-transparent? Any solution to the Name at the very bottom, or the selection issue with bigger things?

No thoughts on the name, but if you right-click on the icon, you can select To Back to get it to move under the rest of the stuff on that layer. Not, perhaps, the best solution, but under some circumstances it can be useful.

The GM layer is not really an overlay... The GM layer is not visible to your players AT ALL. Don't put stuff there that you want your players to see. It's a bad idea. It's mainly used to store stuff that's hiding, or needs to surprise players, or to keep notes on what's in rooms.
