Token Image Artifacting

I wanted to check if anyone else was having this issue or had encountered it before. I've been running for just shy of a couple of years with Roll20 and this hasn't pooped up. I didn't see a ref to this when I did a quick search of the forums, but someone may be able to point me to it. This week when I went to run, I started to get image artifacting when I scroll up. Most of the tokens get staggered afterimages that make a huge mess and make it difficult to select an object. Sometimes these go away when I interact with the objects, but sometimes they stick around and stay for a while. It makes working with the maps and tokens really difficult. The weird thing is that I used had the same set of maps and tokens up last week when I did this and I didn't get this problem. I haven't changed anything else (browser, graphics card) so I'm not sure what's going on. I'm using Chrome. I did the standard fixes: rebooting, deleting some images, refreshing, shutting Roll20 down and restarting. I'll check and see if I have some of this captured on the video from last night. I'm hoping somoene can point me to the easy fix for this.
Are you using the most current release of chrome?
Assuming you've already gone through https://wiki.roll20.net/Solving_Technical_Issues ... Sudden changes in how a site or web resource look are usually the result of a browser update or a new plugin being added. I've seen similar issues before in Firefox a few versions back. Scrolling with middle wheel click was a little wonky and the next Firefox update fixed it.

I know that some users are experiencing odd image duplication at the bottom of the map, in the border area. That was tied to the current version of Chrome (and fixed in the Dev version). You could try using a different version of Chrome and see if that clears up the issue.
OK. I'm using the latest Chrome (Version 41.0.2272.89) so that's likely the issue. It's hard to check if they had an update in the last week, but I'd assume so. I'd hadn't changed any extensions or add ons in the last week, so I don't think that's it. I'll wait and see if the next Chrome update fixes the problem.

You might try installing Chrome Canary. It's a productized version of their dev branch, but it runs as a separate program, so it won't mess with your current chrome settings.
Good one. I definitively don't reproduce the same bug with Chrome Canary.
Hi all I have just noticed that today my tokens are reproducing Lowell's problem on token move and token re-size. This is NOT happening on scrolling the window, but is occurring on Chrome (Version 41.0.2272.101 m) , Canary (Version 43.0.2341.0 canary), Internet Disaster Explorer (ver:11.0.9600.17691) and firefox (36.0.4). (Didn't test under safari or Opera) Below is an image of the issue: Thinking that it may be due to graphics card heat, i tried on my laptop and two different desktops and got the same result. It is not a huge deal, but after noticing similar behavoiur to Lowell's i thought it worth reporting. Martin
I tried again today with standard Chrome- disabled extensions, cleared Cookies- and got the same effect. On the same pages Chrome Canary doesn't do that, so I suspect the issue's with the current iteration of Chrome. I recorded some of what the effect looks like: http://youtu.be/_SGIPr-o7ro
Couple of weeks on and this still keeps happening. Actually worse now, artifacting doesn't go away when items are clicked. Still showing up clean in Chrome Canary.

Lowell, The issue is well known. Unfortunatley it's an issue with this version of Chrome and has been fixed in their beta version. You can find more information here: https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/1749834/known-issue-map-blank-slash-white-in-bottom-left-of-screen#post-1795903
Chrome did push out an update very recently... check your install.
