Looking for a DM

So, I've spend a while lurking on this forum, looking for something to sate my needs, but my needs seem to be very rare. I'm looking for a DM who does his games either on Friday or Saturday and enjoys taking his time Role playing things out through Text, without involving webcams and voices. I've noticed that said webcams and voices get in the way of role playing things out thanks to speeding up the process, but I'd rather be able to get into character. :) Sorry if I'm doing it wrong, instead of posting as a DM this one time! I have a few years of experience with D&D 3.5 and 5th Edition(Well, just a year on the second one), plus I'm willing to learn over on Pathfinder).
you are unlikely to find a DM who wants to type novels about descriptions of things. maybe. but its not likely. good luck though
I have done it via text, but you'd be better served with places like openRPG if they are still around, or rpen and paper rpg dot com where they have a lot of text based stuff not as much as here, but here is mostly voice. I'd hook you up, but I'm doing One Ring, RPG and voice is a must for my group. There are text games out there, but they are a lot of work, especially for a GM. When Wizards of the Coast had those text chat room years ago, they were full of games like you are seeking, but I think those went away since 4e was released, and SAGA Star Wars died. I suggest you change your presentation to Text only player seeks Text game of 3.5, 5e, or PF FRI-SAT (and your time zone). It is rare, but doable. Good luck.

There are plenty of people that do this. There's an entire group dedicated to it here on Roll20. I, myself, engage in Text-based games, though, I'm not currently looking to run 3.5 or another PF game, and 5e is a mess of WotC politicking that I've no intention of getting into. Lots of people enjoy this method. A lot of them run games. It is not as rare as people think.
I'm aware, I'm part of two groups that do this (and I run another), but my school schedule has messed up my ability to play with any of them due to it being usually over the week, but now I'm free only on Weekends. I enjoy my Role playing a bunch, seeing D&D and the likes as the perfect Role Playing games. So yeah, that's my problem with that. Though I did recently hear that Mythweavers does D&D through a Forum like model, where you can basically just post whenever you'd like and such... But yeah, thanks for the Info. Will continue looking though.

Well, 5e is quite playable and even have few rather beneficial changes. I still prefer PF/3.5 any time, but if you look at it with prejudice you might miss on something. Just saying :)
