Hey this sunday 19 GMT/ 3 PM EST, I'd like to see if there's a good group for Changeling the Lost. I really don't want to jump into a full character driven campaign, because the Storyteller system draws in a lot of different folks. From people trying to be Frank Underwood of the Shadows to Angel from Buffy, the system draws in a broad spectrum. I just want to run a short one shot to see if the people who join mesh well with each other and my way of telling story telling. If it works well, I'll work toward a full campaign arc with detailed character driven resolutions and issues. You don't need a fully developed or final character for the one shot, just show up and roleplay the kind of player you are. If it turns out well we'll work it into a longer term character driven game. Things I try to do with Changeling: Riddles, there should be tricky roleplay about mysteries of word usage and quoting obscure Ezra Pound poetry from NPCs and not challenges of hacking into their email account or checking their bank ledgers to figure out the mystery. The mystery conflict would be fanciful and dark, not gritty and direct. As far as combat goes, if you get hurt healing time is not resting at an inn and Goblin Fruits (the Cure spells of Changeling) are not given freely. Combat should not be levels of Call of Cthulhu impossible, but also not Super powered cowboy faeries expecting to gun down police squads. For the rest of the skill tasks, it's there to show what your character is good at it. If you just escaped the hedge and can't drive that's kind of important, if you escaped the hedge and now are the foremost expert on Medieval English because of the library you "worked" at, it's also interesting. The Changelings should be out of place in their skill sets and I think it should be that way. If any of that floats your boat or seems like you want to see if it might, post here.
