I am looking to implement a house rule in my campaign that all multi class characters have to take the dissociative identity disorder trait (multiple personality), once for each additional class. It will require that xp be calculated in three lines: character total (like it is in the phb), and one for each class. the character total would still govern issues such as stat raises every four levels and feats, and saving throws would still be based on the level of each class like it is now. The main difference is that the individual class would not automatically level up with the character level and it would also remove the 20% xp penalty for being more than one level apart. I figure for a dual class, if they are no more than one level apart they the total xp gained would be split 50/50 each class. If one is two levels or more higher than the other however, it would be the dominant class and gain 80% of the gained xp while the lower class received only 20%. This could be played around with by taking into account if the minor class plays more often during a particular session and adjust as needed. And of course if yo uhave three classes it would be split 34/33/33 if they were all within 1 level of each other. *note the humans trait of having the higher class not be counted agaisnt the xp due to his being a jack of all trades still happens. Sorry, I should have mentioned this is for DND 3E. Thanks
