In need of Help.

Is there anyone doing a tutorial like campaign, I new to the DnD world/game style, I am hoping to find a campaign to help me learn the play style. PM me if you need to know anything before considering me. I'm available to play anytime besides sundays, my time zone is eastern time.
The first thing you need to know is that there are 6 editions of actual Dungeons and Dragons proper and many more game systems that are aesthetically like Dungeons and Dragons and quite a few systems that are mechanically similar to some versions of Dungeons and Dragons but are completely different in theme and tone. So, do you mean: Some fantasy genre game, you don't care what system, just so long as it has swords, and sorcery, and a setting that predates hot and cold running potable water. Dungeons and Dragons Advanced Dungeons and Dragons Dungeons and Dragons Second Edition Dungeons and Dragons Third Edition. Dungeons and Dragons 3.5 Dungeons and Dragons Fourth Edition. Dungeons and Dragons Fifth Edition. Dungeons and Dragons Next Pathfinder d20 too many to list or something else entirely? I hope that helps.
Which ever is played most I think would be best, but im also new to this site, so therefor I am unaware of which edition is currently most commonly played
I would suggest looking into Pathfinder games simply because they are popular and all the information you need to play and create characters is free and available online at either of these two sites  Official Pathfinder SRD  or  Pathfinder fan SRD 4th edition is a great system if you like tactical fights, I love it but character creation either requires access to a dungeons and dragons insider account from WoTC site that is 10 dollars a month, or to get a hold of a ton of books. Ohh and D&D Next and Fifth edition are the same thing the play test documents are free to download from WoTC web page, it is in open beta testing right now, has sort of an old school feel to it and there are a few games being played on roll20, but it is currently no where near as popular as 4th or Pathfinder.
