Interest Check [Adeptus Evangelion] AdEva 3.0 Beta

Interest check to see how many people and in what time zones they are want to try the beta of AdEva 3.0. Personally I'm EST and have most evenings free with flexible hours. I'm more interested in playing than GMing so any GM interest would be great.
So its evangelion rpg....well count me in as a player, only founded 2 parts of beta version...and found out its a thing...didn't know that it has a big player/fan base...huh(mecha fans are rare in this age and time)...well if there is a gm for this i want to give it a spin.
Here's some more information if anyone is interested. http://1d4chan.org/wiki/Adeptus_Evangelion - wiki http://s4.zetaboards.com/adeva/index/ - forums There is a link to the IRC channel and a download link for version 3.0 beta available on the wiki. 3.0 no longer uses Dark Heresy as a base and can be played completely from its own rulebook.

Thanks,i snooped around AdEva 2.5 and wow,it has really solid base which is dark heresy which i did read but not played with (Rouge trader is more my thing although no one wants alien on-board their ship). Now to see what beta has for me...apparently a lot...well better start crackin.
Just going to give this one bump for now to make sure no one else is interested then leave it be.
awww....well most ppl here doesn't know mecha stuff.
I'd make a new topic, but I found this one and I figured I might as well bump it back up. I'm definitely interested in playing AdEva 3.0 as a player. My schedule is more or less the same, but my only thing is that I haven't necessarily played tabletop roleplaying games before. I've read up on both books, and I'm willing to give it a shot.
Hmmm 3 players and now we need only the GM

Btw there was an AdEva GM from germany who had problems with english and there was a lot of players wanting to play. And isnt Adeva 3.0 still in the beta?
It's called beta, but it's already been heavily playtested and they've just opened it up to the public while they continue to make tweaks to it throughout the year. And the best part is that it's no longer dependent on the Dark Heresy ruleset. So basically we just need a GM at this point, and a possible additional player or 2 for backup or if someone wants to be Misato.
I'd be up for the task for future games if I find out I like doing AdEva well enough. I'm attempting to get a few of my friends interested in doing AdEva offline, but I'd like to see how it's done first.
Well...i guess it is like in the anime but more awesome and less emo about it.
https://app.roll20.net/lfg/listing/23226/adeptus-e... It seems the German GM mentioned earlier made his game.
EEEyup,we can recruit players from there.

Snooped around ego and stress section....BIG frigging NOPE,i am not playing some snotty, moody, hormone driven, easily broken down under stress teenager who thinks it the end of the friggin world everyday (friggin hated teen part of my life and not going back) and where the heck is the section of stress and ego recovery?(there are therapies for that irl they are called R&R) Anyway,i am going to get me some fine portion of zzzzzzzzzzzzzz now, night. (btw, maybe i didn't noticed recovery section so post me the page number if ya can find it,ok?)
I could see Dming a few games of this. Haven't read through the rules thoroughly, but story is universal and it's what matters most. Also, i'd have to watch the new movies, but even so it would probably take place storywise from the American version of Nerv so we could have more creative freedom. I'd probably make some basic rule changes, Like the Nerv resources would given to a council that the players sit on, instead of each player getting a bunch of resources to spend. I also appreciate the dualism of having to be a tiny person or a mecha. An entire game could be just getting to the mechs while the city is under attack! Anyways, I question if using this rule system is necessary at all, or if we should just use Mini-six or something simple that will give us more creativity and less constraints.

That's certainly one way to play this kind of game. Personally I prefer some ruleset over complete freeform roleplaying. That and the reason Dark Heresy was chosen as the basis for the original game was that in that it was not only likely that your character would be maimed, deranged or dead by then end of the story, it was practically inevitable. Part of the thrill, in my opinion, of playing this kind of game is just surviving. Revealing the story isn't guaranteed if you don't live long enough to do it. It has the same sort of existential dread and sense of "tumbling down" that was present in the show, and though I recommend the movies, they're not required viewing.
So we could just...play 2.5 version? True, there is plot development through the series as stakes are getting higher and higher but its more focused on some characters and their life problems and how they react and bla bla bla everything is in the series. Listen,i don't do dramas(i do comedy, action annnd just the usual stuff) because my real life was one and i am in a state:Fuck it,doing what i can, moving on,kickin tha feels in the nuts and dropping them at the bottom of the ocean.
I'd need the Dark Heresy books, which would take a bit more time to read through those, but otherwise I'm fine. If you were wishing to start sooner though, feel free to go on without me.
Dark Heresy books you saaaay?.....well you know where to get soft copy online. Anywho....hmmm....time and date?
YO so are we still on with this game or what?
i would definitely play adeva 3.0 if you guys were stil. Interested.
Dunno about others but i am ok as long time and date is manageable for me.
Might be looking to join as well, for time i'd prefer Sundays but it seems that you guys haven't decided yet.
if you still have room i am down to play .... i can not do weekends but i am free all weeknights
Oh and if i may ask are we certain on using 3rd edition and not 2.5? because i can do 2.5 but rather 3rd.

same but i wont gm this because reasons
At this point a lot of players are interested, but we would still need a GM to commit to running the game.

He exists, whether he is following the post or is still interested is a different question
I'll message him and see if he's still into it.
Hes been Messaged, and hes in. But like i said, I dont know the rules for the warhammer stuff well, and this is pretty much just a play off that. I can make a story and DM it, but i'll need you guys to help me through the rules as we go.
3.0 going forward isn't dependent on Dark Heresy anymore, everything you need to play is in the pdf now.
Sounds good, i'ma send Gordon the link to the game, and he'll invite all those he feels are appropriate for the game. Sound good? Good.
I'd love to run at least a oneshot of this during the summer, so I may end up looking some of you guys up because my regular group doesn't like teh mechz :(
Still looking for players? I'd like to try out this but I'm pretty much a noob with tabletop....
