Bad things happen when I try to make hexgrid maps in Roll20. First, if I have a particular tile starred so that it comes up as part of my library, it behaves differently from the same tile that isn't starred. The first screenshot shows two tiles (the same pattern), both dragged directly onto the map (into the map layer) from the side panel. The first comes from the starred section, the second doesn't. I prefer the non-starred one, because at least when I drag multiple tiles over, it completely covers an area, snaps together, and looks (slightly) less fugly (second screenshot).
When I try to cover an extended area by dragging out the yellow rectangle, I get a horrible, horrible mess (third screenshot). I get a somewhat less horrible mess if I hold Option down while doing this, but there are still visible seams (fourth screenshot), and I can't conveniently add to it because nothing snaps into the right place. It's just ... terrible. I've completely given up trying to make maps on a hexgrid that actually look like anything. Blech.
