Separate chat windows or private group chat

Here's the situation: We're playing a campaign using characters of multiple races with different languages. 3 of the players all speak the same foreign language and wanted to be able to quickly do a small private group chat with each other. In the current system each player would have to type "/w(palyer's name)" then type the message; then type "/w(player's name)" and retype or copy and paste the message to the other player. We've used this message but it's cumbersome and takes too much time. Would it be possible to make a macro that will automatically send the message to everyone in the same sub-group? It would be cool if it also posted in the general chat something like, "Bob, Tom, and Harry all speak to each other in a foreign language" each time you used the macro. I've tried playing around with it a bit but can't seem to get it to work. Any suggestions would be much appreciated!

The easiest way to do something at this time is to use a 3rd party program like skype. This would allow you to do a private IM between the required players. There has been a variety of posts asking/ suggesting additional tabs for a wide variety of posts. Take a look through the suggestion board and you can see discussions about it in various threads.
Thanks Metroknight. I looked in the Specific Use threads but not the Suggestions. Skype would work but I was hoping there would be a way to do it all in Roll20.
Aha! Found this in the Wiki for tips and tricks: Well, if you play an RPG with Languages that some players know and some players don't. Create a character sheet named the Language you want. Give the Language edit permissions to those who know the Language. Whisper to the language, so that you in real whisper those characters, which would be all the players you have given permission, and the others won't get anything. Like this: /w [Language] [Your Message] Thanks Wiki
Superb!
