Warhammer 40K Tabletop

Is anyone out there running a 40K tabletop game? I got to thinking about it the other day. It would appear very easy to setup a game for it on the VTT. Anyone at all?

I guess to be clear and concise  I should add, I am talking about the miniatures game not the current list of available RPGs =)

I've got an Only War game sort of in the works right now (based seven years prior to the Spineward Front. I think I will be ready by July sometime)). I am a little surprised there isn't more, though. 

If you are talking about casual war gaming in the sense of show up and play like at a hoby store, but only useing Roll20.net I would be interested. That would be fun and could make counting dice that much quicker.

I'm sure it would be easy enough to run. Why don't you get the ball rolling Rpgman?

Well I would if I knew the rules better and currently setting my Star Wars D6 campaign up. And as I have only been on Roll20 for about 2-3 weeks I honestly lack the confidence to run it.

biggest "problem" i see with roll 20 version is making/implementing all possible tokens..

Seems I saw quite few including vehicles up on the the RPTools forums.

So far we've ONLY used R20 for skirmish miniatures gaming. It works absolutely fabulous for this.  Have yet to even try it for a straight up RPG.   We have been playing Strange Aeons.  If you're having trouble finding tokens, just take a photo of your minis top down and convert in Photoshop or Gimp.  PM me if you have questions regarding this...It's very easy.

Sounds like it could be fun i would love to play although getting all the tokens ready would be the hardest part.

well I don't think making the tokens would be that hard, after all there are tons of 40K pictures on the web...  and a campaign like series of  games would be intresting...

well... for actual campaigns/roleplaying there are plenty of w40k systems.. unless you mean a wargame rts like campaign?
