Can't use on Kindle Fire HD

I've b een anxiously awaiting this, so I don't have to fight with Roll20 completely shutting down my device. Now, I can't even get the app. Are there plans to have it available through the Amazon app store?

I suspect it may take some time, if at all. While Kindle uses Android, it's a fork of Android, meaning some things are different; possibly, very important things that the app relies on.
I think this might require a lot of work. Since Kindle a fork of Android and uses Silk browser, not a Chromium embedded base-browser, and has no support for Play Services, it's essentially a different OS. Think dog vs jackal instead of dog vs wolf; different animals with a common root.
That's a shame. We love Roll20, but I'm not getting a new computer or tablet just so I can use it without issue.
I'd love to see a Kindle version too!
Keep in mind the App isn't adding anything that isn't already available in the Browser. It's a little faster, since it doesn't load the map aspects, but in some cases it's actually less useful. The future will see what comes of it.

Jack A. said: So it doesn't work at all that sucks me and some players where thinking of subscription but we have kindles I don't believe you need a subscription in order to use the native app. You do, however, need to have a subscription in order to run the full web interface from a mobile device, which does work on Kindle. (Or, if the campaign creator has a subscription, all of the campaign's players can use a mobile device.)

Even the full-tabletop on tablet, is not supported for Kindle. Have you found it works anyway Brian? Here is the Wiki Documentation saying Kindle is not supported for the tabletop (non-app) version, https://wiki.roll20.net/Roll20_Table_on_Tablet_Sup... Note Brian is correct in the part that only the campaign creator needs a subscription to enable all the campaign's players to get Roll20 Table On Tablet ability (with supported tablet devices). Also Note: Even a fairly old and inexpensive laptop computer can run Roll20 usually without problems. If you find it doesn't work on your Kindle, maybe you have an older computer to try it on instead?

Thanks, Brian. Based on that I wonder if the wording should be changed in the Wiki docs. Currently says: Nook devices as well as Kindles (including the Kindle Fire) are not compatible, as they don't have access to the Chrome for Android app. Perhaps should change the words "not compatible" to say "not supported". That would be more accurate, right?

Yeah, probably.
Ahh thanks guys ill pull my older laptop out to create campaign ill make a sub and try from my kindle too
Roll20 works on the kinle, via Silk, but it doesn't work well. It freezes up constantly. I use it through firefox nightly with varied success. I was hoping an app made for use on kindle would help resolve some of the glitchy issues.
