Can a macro modify an attribute?

I think I meant 'attribute' instead of 'variable' in the topic title. Sorry. [edit] - updated the title for you ;) Ziechael I want to create an ammo tracker macro, that will subtract 1 from my ammo value when I use my ranged attack. Is this possible?

Not with a macro i'm afraid, you can using the API ( a mentor level feature ). A workaround for free/supporter users is to set one of the bars on your tokens to track your ammo attribute and simply have the players '-1' each time they/you use that attack. Its not the best but i've done it in the past and it at least gives you visibility of your ammunition when selecting your token.
Thanks for the edit. :) If I become a Mentor to use the API, can I use it in a game in which I am not the DM, if that DM doesn't have the same priviledge?

That being said, there is no reason why your GM wouldn't enable the API script if he/she has mentor level subscription already. It can only enhance their campaign. Also, worth noting is the ability to 'gift subscription', if your campaign is likely to run for a number of months you and the other players could club together and gift the GM some mentor membership to see you through the campaign. Other methods are using online payment sites to donate a tiny portion of the overall subscription fee each month to enable the GM to upgrade (as a GM myself i wouldn't live without it). All of that aside, there is a level of trust required, it would suck to gift or donate only to get booted from the campaign once the GM has cashed in that whole $10 lol... <--- purposefully ridiculous statement ;) (FYI, i'm not on commission, just love my API's!)
