I will be starting a New 5E Campaign which will take place in the Forgotten Realms. This game will be open to New Players and Veterans alike... Only character restriction would be No Alignment can contain Evil... The Party should be well balanced or success and survival will be difficult... Expect Role Playing as this is what it's all about and expect tough encounters and situations that will test all your skills and abilities... Players are expected to be on time and RELIABLE ! I use Detailed Maps and Encounters, and Use all of Roll20's Features and Use several Script Systems making game play quite smooth... Sessions will last 3 hours from 7:00 PM CST to 10:00 PM CST... Adequate Voice Chat Mics are required, there will be no Video Used... Either Skype or Hangouts will be used for the Chat Communication... For Character Creation we will use the standard array of 15,14,13,12,10,08 starting at level 1 with full Hit Points... If you are Seriously Interested in Joining this campaign then please post here two simple character concepts including Race, Class, and Alignment, i,e, LG Elf Wizard or CN Half Orc Barbarian ... Remember a party capable of handling tough encounters, difficult obstacles, and defeating clever traps as well as Interacting with the surrounding world is what we are hoping for... -Ajax
How's it going! My name is Chris, I'm 21 and Australian. Session times translate to 10:00am in the morning for me, which works just fine. I work drags, so some sessions will take place after a shift depending on the roster. This is also fine since it basically translates to my afternoon anyway. :) I am new to 5E, but feel I understand it enough to not be too much of a burden. Anyway, here's a couple of concepts for you. Bavol is my preference, but I'm easy. -- Name: Bavol Feir'Ryker Race: Human (Variant) Class: Druid | Fighter (Will start as druid). [Weapons for damage, and spells [with a focus on wind-flavoured magic and healing] for utility] Gender: Male Alignment: Lawful Neutral Background: Outlander | Tribal Nomad (If possible, I'd like to trade the musical instrument proficiency for land vehicle proficiency because of his background story, but it's fine either way, really.) Bio: Bavol was the spiritual guide for his small tribe, who roamed a sea of grass with a herd of wild horses. The two groups helped each other survive, and Bavol served as the link between the two groups as his teacher did before him. Tragedy struck when the group were ambushed by marauders, though Bavol is still uncertain how they managed to surprise the group. The battle was fierce, and it was by sheer chance that Bavol survived. He was knocked unconscious and pinned beneath a fallen horse, and he was simply overlooked. When he regained consciousness, a quick body count revealed that anyone who wasn't dead had been taken... He was powerless to protect those he cared about, and the guilt almost swallowed him. Despite suspecting otherwise, Bavol starting clinging to the hope that the other survivors still lived, and that it was his duty to save them. He started training himself for the task, and took up adventuring so that he might gather rumour about the marauders that took his life away from him. Name: Eldrid Firebrew Race: Hill Dwarf Class: Monk | Will go elemental for fire flavour Gender: Male Alignment: Lawful Neutral Background: Guild Artisan | Brewer Bio: Eldrid comes from a long line of brewers. He was raised in a secluded monastery where his time was split between mastering his craft and mastering himself. He is a student of the 'drunken fist'. Wanderlust soon took hold when Eldrid grew unsatisfied with the brew he was producing, and he became an adventurer so that he could travel the world and find exciting new ingredients to use. Possessed of the temper that gave his family their name, Eldrid occasionally bumps heads with people, though he'll never be the first to instigate violence. -- Well, there you have it. I look forward to hearing from you. :) Kind regards, Chris

I do need to mention one of the house rules, as I see a number of the character concepts involve multi-classing, All leveling will be done through a trainer and will cost x amount of gold, multi classed characters will find the cost higher.... In this game Gold will have an actual value
I can get around that. Might be fun for RP too. Like, Bavol trains in fighting techniques and later on goes to see his druid teacher who is all like "why do you forsake our teachings?" or something.

I'm experienced in the rolling side of the table but I want to get more games with heavy roleplaying under my belt. Sounds like just what I'm looking for. (Neutral) Drayok Stone the Druid Mountain Dwarf that believes the soil and stone are just as important as the things that live on them. (Chaotic Neutral) Syric Lynal a wood elf rogue who grew up in a thieve's guild that was run by his grandparents.

Hello, My name is Christian (21,college) and I'm still fairly new to role play although I am currently playing another campaign on Saturday. I am a west coast player so the time is fine for me. Um I'll admit I'm a little foggy on alignments I go off what a character would do regardless of their alignment, for instance I have a rogue who hates criminals who commit heinous acts and demands they face justice, but he still lies and manipulates and steals minor things from people to help his party so I guess he is chaotic good even though he would actually be willing to torture one of these criminals for information which doesn't inherently seem like a good act. Anyway I'm a laid back person and I like to have a little fun with the role playing, jump on a joke act in a weird way due to my character etc. LG(loyal to the whims of the deity) battle/support Cleric Matin Bouvard Human CG(adventure hungry) two handed Fighter Hamza al-Ashraf Human Spoilers for Players I'm assuming any good aligned deity is fine for a cleric, and the fighter will be based of Arabian culture although I can't really do an accent (I can sure try though) and obviously no need for us to start near a desert because of this. I'll provide more background on both characters upon request.
Very interested - About me? 36yo, working dad and long-time gamer but haven't played much at all in the last year despite several (aborted) attempts. Up to speed on 5e rules, have mic/cam. Can commit to Thursdays 7-10 CST. Character ideas? Honestly would rather wait and see how a group evolves, both in terms of class/race and RP background. I'm genuinely flexible in what I'd be willing to play and would rather work on a character that gels with the group, and the campaign/world you're thinking of. That being said... challenging encounters and traps? First idea that springs to mind is a Treadworn , a human ranger (CG) with a disdain (or love!$) of cities and dense settlements, due to years of solitude in the wilds scouting new paths for settlers and pioneers.
if there are 6 serious players ready to play then I will try to start this on Thursday April 9th....
bump
CG Dragonborn Bard CG Gnome Warlock
So I assume you'll be pming people ahead of time to let us know if were in or not? Not to seem rude, but I just want to know if I should make any plans for a Thursday night game or not.
