We've both been in a few campaigns, but none of them have lasted very long. On average, we play unusual characters and enjoy adding new elements to the party. Preferred classes are wizard/scout. Preferred races vary based on what the DM will allow. The first of us (wizard) is very experienced with the ruleset and has a number of books on hand for reference and play. Is interested in learning Pathfinder or 5e, but has no access to the sourcebooks. On average, he won't switch classes outside of wizard, but doesn't mind altering races a bit. The second of us prefers dexterity based classes (scout, rogue, ranger) due to being able to deal damage, and is a bit less familiar with various rulesets, but is equally open/interested in learning new ones. He's willing to expand a bit in terms of class type (into cleric if necessary, for example), and has no particular attachment to race. Both of us are interested in finding a group that enjoys a fair bit of roleplaying.
