Learn 5E Friday Night April 10th, 7:00 PM CST Session For New Players

I will be running another 5th Edition Dungeons and Dragons Session at 7:00 PM CST Friday Night April 10th, session will run 3 to 4 hours... This will be geared some what toward New Players but anyone who wants to can play... This will be a different scenario then the previous two night's games so any who played in the last two games can play again if they like... This game will feature up to 6 Pre Generated Characters that are fully scripted and complete with all the macros... The available characters are a Fighter, a Cleric, a Wizard, a Rogue, a Bard, and a Paladin. The characters are level 2. The event will use almost all of Roll20's bells and whistles including dynamic lighting and the API.... New Players will find the game quite easy to jump right in... The game will use either Hangouts or Skype for the Chat Connection so a working Mic is required, no video will be used... I am interested in joining, I have some (very little) experience with dungeons and dragons, pretty much just me and a couple friends getting together and trying to figure it out with limited results. I've never played D&D due to a few personal reasons but as of recent I've wanted to play for no other reason than a whim. The set time will be easy for me to get into but I do have to ask one thing. Why pre-gen and can we not use a pre-gen char if we want? Other than that I'd like to join.

By using pre-generated characters of his own making, the GM is able to have all the needed macros and whatnot set up on the character ahead of time, so that all a player need do is login and everything is ready to go. I know it's what I'll be doing when I start my NewbieCrawl series, eventually.

I'm a pretty big fan of Pathfinder. But if I was to ever try and cram a second rule set in my brain, I hear 5e is the one to do. I can play any class, but I am very partial to bards.

I applied to and missed Thursday night's game, but if you'd let me, I'd still really enjoy playing that fighter in your one-shot. Also, Sir_Toon, Pathfinder is just a more specific version of D&D, for the most part. If you can play PF, then you'll feel right at home with D&D.

Would love to join. Preferably as Paladin, but can also give the Cleric or Bard, or any other free character a go.

just wanted to drop by and endorse ajax's one shots for n00bs. he's firm but fair and seems to have encyclopedic knowledge of the game. great for n00bs like me trying to get a feel for the game. i was in his thurs. game as a wizard. had good fun and laughs, magic missiling and fire bolting some kobolds. aside from small technical glitches in the beginning (fault of the roll20 servers) the game ran rather smoothly. the game was well prepared. the bard of our party even wrote a short "sonnet" dedicated to the rogue of the party who basically slayed everything in his path.

I'm almost totally new to D&D and RPGs whatsoever(played 1 game(around 4 sessions that was) with my friends and watched some lives on youtube). I would really love to join, but first i got to ask - will this adventure take more then this single 3-4h session? Because I am not sure if I will be available for the continuation and I wouldn't like to ruin other people's adventure.

Game was a blast, group was good, and Dm was on point. Learned a lot about fighter and 5e. Loving this roll20 system. Keep up the n00b one shots!

Agreed! Participated in the DM's One Shot on Thursday and the one today; both were awesome to play in, and both sessions taught me quite a bit on how roll20 can work! Definitely have to commend these one shot sessions!

A good group of players with a lot of good RP... On the downside two players who signed up were NO SHOWS, Chris M and Damian B with out a word,this is what is going to ruin this for everyone, PLEASE DON'T SIGN UP FOR GAMES IF YOU ARE NOT GOING TO SHOW UP, you deny another player who wanted to play...

do you have any games i could join in 5E? i am in the middle of creating my half-elf rogue character sheet and wouldn't mind tips or a play through of a campaign to show me how 5E works.
