Arranging within a layer

Hey guys, I'm having some troubles arranging a map for my players. My issue is that I have several overlapping objects on the map layer. I want to arrange them in a certain order, but using the "to front" and "to back" options is really inconvenient when dealing with like 5 layers. Is there any way to move an item down one spot, instead of all the way to the back or all the way to the front?

Not at present, although i know it is an area of the editor that has been discussed often and recently. There is likely a suggestion about it in the suggestions forum (i'll take a look soon and edit this post if i find one). [edit] found this one but it's old and closed lol... will keep looking ;) Currently to front and to back are your only choices so short of making your map a more layer friendly environment (such as an external paint program like GIMP) you'll just have to master the 'to back in the right order' puzzle method! Sorry it wasn't better news :(
Alright, thank you guys! At least now I know not to try anymore lol. I did find a workaround in that what I was trying to do would work just as well being mostly transparent.
