Feeler for Interest in Rogue Trader. [DM looking for players, EST(UTC-5)]

At this point I am just looking to see if there are players that would be interested, I haven't started work on any playable material and have no date in mind. Purely wondering if there would be people that would like to play if I spent the time to make something. :D

I would love to play Rogue Trader. I have a Rogue Trader already ready and would love that role.

Sweet, that is one. I would like a group of 4-5, in my experience more than that bogs things down way too much and less and you lack the diversity and fun of other people's input. :D Your Rogue Trader is it a fresh new character or one you have used in the past. Just looking to see the rank and power level we would be at.

He's more or less a fresh character, The campaign he was in kind of died before he got too much XP. He got... 400 XP before the game ended. Sheet's on mythweaver, but it wouldn't be too hard to change over to here. If you want, I could feel out my friends for other fellows for this.

I just started (well i start tommrow) a new job so I am not quite sure when we can schdule the sessions but that should be fine since I might need a bit of time to get something ready on roll20 to actually play with. Ok so only an hour or so behind me. Not bad. My only concern for time zones is I don't wanna make someone play a game at 4:00 am if they have the work the next day or some such. Also a bit about me so you know what your getting into. I have been playing table RPGs since I was like 10 with my older brother, GMed for a good portion of that time. But most of my experience is in D&D 3.5 and pathfinder. I have ran 4 or 5 Star Wars Saga games and 2 Dark Heresy games. But never Rogue Trader. So I am sure you know the system better than I do. But I absolutely love the idea, I also play 40k Table top. Necrons. XD So I know the 40k setting fairly well.

All right. I play most of the 40k video game, been part of a few Dark Heresy games, and a few troubled Rogue Trader ones. I mostly am a DM, but I use mostly my system now days.

Oh your own system? Nice. I have started building my own a few times but always find some other published system that accomplishes what I was going for and end up learning that. So any back story on that character? If so I would love to see it, could help me tie him into whatever I work up. Always feels more compelling when your character has a personal stake in the major conflict.

I'd be pretty interested in trying out Rogue Trader. I've got some experience with the other 40k RP games but never been able to play Rogue Trader and always had some interest in checking out how it plays.

Awesome. Thanks for the reply Ravenminded. I know Captain Zens has some friends who might play but thats up in the air as far as I am aware so anyone that wants to play is welcome. I can even run a game with more players if that is what it turns out we need. Do you have access to the books? And any ideas on what kind of character you want to play. Also just encase we have thread stalkers there is an actual LFG listing for the game now. Sorry for the lack of solid information on it. I wasnt sure if I would even get people that wanted to play where I made this post.

I do have access to a bunch of the books. I don't mind filling in needed roles in a group depending on the tone of the campaign. Off the top of my head I'd probably be most interested in playing an Explorator or Arch-Militant probably.

Hey, gentlemen. I might be able to satisfy the demand for PILOTS if I can: a) Know the estimated game time. I'm GMT+2, with all the problems that entails. b) Play a Dark Eldar. I'm sure I can play one without making him a homicidal asshole. Otherwise I'd prefer an Explorator.

Might also be interested in this game, got some experience with the 40k RP's (mostly black crusade) and got access to the books if theres still a spot left. Also am in the GMT+2 timezone schedule wise.

Su'cuy Goblinclock & hello everyone else, I'm available EST evenings and have played both Dark Heresy and Rogue Trader. I have access to the books and am flexible about what career my character is. They'll definitely be human though.

Depending on night and time I'd be interested? Dunno what's in play but if non-human is possible, it sounds fun. I work weds to sat 11 to 930 est, and I understand totally if my schedule doesn't fit, its a recurring theme of mine =)

hey guys. sorry for the long wait. I am working a weird scheduled because i started a new job yesterday but it should balance out in a few days. I can tell you we need 1 more player, and that i am putting the game back up in LFG. so if you guys look there and put in applications i will look through and make a choice based on how much i like the character. :)
