A black dot.

A black dot like the 2 bit colour scheme and maybe two blue dots and two black dots. Probably a 8 bit expression for the colors given. There are a good many of dots for the avatars, but not all are simple. So, maybe a black and grey-black circle and a blue and navy blue circle. But you could cover those with a broader pallette in a 8 bits. Maybe a mentor selection of the symbols. Or fend for yourself, colors and symbols for the supporters and mentor.

You're talking about a black dot, grey dot, and navy dot, for the status dots on a token right? The later part of your suggestion might be a match with this popular suggestion, Create custom sets of status icons for tokens https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/1239900/create-c...

Ok, but not custom, although a palette would be good. I have a blue dot, I can muster a black dot, the ninja icon. but in the game I GM, I have to uses a blue and green for good or Ninja and Dragon for bad. Simple extra colors. Nothing like multiple blue or black to track black I'd use a black and couple shades of grey.
