Problems with Roll20 Website (Local Machine)

Hi,

Was wondering if anyone could help. For some odd reason the website of Roll20, anything with the app.roll20.net address, seems to be messed up for me, no other website seems to be doing the same however (See attached screen shots).

I know that its my machine and i've tried most things i can think of

Turning on and off, Running Numerious Malware/antivirus programs, uninstalling and reinstalling Jave & Flash, updating Graphics Drivers. Installing and testing different Browsers Firefox (Main Browser), Chrome and finally IE. Cleared Cache, cookies & Temp Data.

I'm useing a diffrent machine to do this post as its almost impossible to post with my Machine currently.

Anyhelp or point in the correct direction would be much appreciated.

Regards,

Genix.

Did you disable all your extensions and plugin's in your browser? Alot of times there is some plugin or extension causing the problem.

It rather looks like the CSS isn't loading for the pages.  Definitely give Metroknight's suggestion to disable your plugins and toolbars a try.  It's possible one of those is causing problems.  If that's not successful, I think there are a few other things to try a well.

Gave that a try as well and it didnt work. I hadnt installed anything new before this started to happen. I have also tested it on a Fresh install of Chrome and the same problem is present on that as well.
not sure if its going to help any but the same thing (I've just discovered) happens with Kickstarter.com

Hm.  So it's just giving you problems with the Roll20 site and Kickstarter.com?  And it's doing this with Chrome, IE, and Firefox...

Would you mind going to http://supportdetails.com/ and giving the information here -- except the IP address, of course!

I encountered this as well, just now.
Operating System Microsoft Windows 7 Copy Web Browser Firefox 21.0 Copy Javascript Is disabled Copy Cookies Are enabled Its saying Javascript is Disabled but its not. Just went to www.isjavascriptenabled.com & http://www.enable-javascript.com/ and both are saying its enabled. Just done a quick Reinstall of Firefox and its still the same
Yay, not alone!

Genix, I'm still trying to puzzle through this, so I hope you'll bear with me for a while. It doesn't seem to be a bug with our program, so it's a bit harder to track down for me. :)

Carl, have you tried disabling your browsers plugins?  Adblocker programs can sometimes cause this kind of behavior.  Also, try clearing your browser's cache and cookies, if you would.  Also, is this issue happening in multiple browsers, as it is for Genix, or just one?

Genix, would you mind going to http://supportdetails.com/ with either chrome or IE?  I'm curious if they both say your javascript is disabled as well.

Just curious, what kind of network are you on. Is this at home, work, etc?

Also do you have any security software/firewall/anti-virus running?

I've had this problem a few times over the past week or so. Usually it goes away if I just shut down the tab and open a new one.

Thanks for taking the time to puzzle though this. Oddly enough On both Chrome and IE (Chrome was also Just a fresh install) both say on Support Details say Javascript is disabled. But when I go to the other sites i lised above they say that they are enabled. Its my home network, I've disabled all firewalls & Anti Viruses (I've ran that and no results, same with Malware) http://roll20.net/ shows up perfectly fine. the top bar notification bar work as normal. Just when I enter into the app.roll20.net everything losses formatting/pictures etc as seen in the above screenshots.
I just started this today and I cant use the virtual tabletop for some reason clicking the link to create my own wont work... also i cant even post a new topic... so I'm trying to post a reply to see if that works.

Adam, try deactivating any extensions or plugins you may be running.

Hi Guys,

Just want to say that the problem persisted, tired most pretty much everything I could think of, uninstalled and reinstalled most of my software and still no joy, Erased profile on PC nothing. In the end the only Solution was to reinstall Windows, this is much like Dropping a Stick of TNT into an Ant nest but it worked. :)

I still never got down to the bottom of it so not sure if its ever going to happen again,

Cheers for your time.

Genix, Im glad you fixed it although I am sorry you had to re-install Windows. I've had to do that on occasion as well.

For my own part I just updated (and turned off, turned on etc, all the mix'n'matches) all my plugins, which did nothing, then I deleted everything cached from the website (literally everything, even cookies etc), and that seems to have fixed it.

Good point Asaram, without clearing the cache the computer may have been loading the previous (messed up) version.
