Yeah, I think they mentioned somewhere that pop-out chat wasn't a listed feature because it was a work in progress. I would be nice if they got it working though.

Odd.. I somehow managed to pop it out during my game today... I think I accidently dragged the chat tab to my other screen. Not sure how I did it.

Alicia G if you accidentally double click the chat icon, it will popup. I have to say it will be a nice feature to have once they have 100% functional/ready for use. Of course for me to really use it, I need either a huge monitor or two monitors when I play. Either would be really really nice.
