General Discussion

Sure Mo, it's designed for 6 and so far I've only asked the four of you, so Phunk makes 5 and I'm going to PM Nick from our Thursday game.
Woot! I just let him know. Said he wants to play a 20th level cleric. And I said the one with a 6 wisdom? Yeah, that one...
I heard from Nick (Hogar) and he's definitely interested, so we have our six players (at least tentatively) for now. Like I said last night, I'm looking at sometime on 11/1/2014 to run the game so try to keep that open if you are able. Plus I need to be sure I'll be ready by then :-b I know I can't get commitments yet but I'm just saying.... :-) When it gets a little closer to game time I'll see about nailing down the game time.
That's my Sunday here, so no worries for me. We should also start talking about what classes we want to play at some point.
I'll get the campaign created and get everyone invited and we can go from there. Mo, I'll leave it to you to get Phunk onto Roll20 and Skype, but you can send him my way if you need to :-)

Only a week away from the monster manual!
I intended Kmita to be a bad compulsive gambler, meaning he would most likely be poor / in debt after a gambling binge. With that, instead of a disadvantage on the 1d100 rolls, I think a -10 penalty would be better. That way the "house" would always have the better shot at winning. what do you think?
That only applies if none of Perrin's gold is involved.
Kmita could go on a real tear (knowing how cold Aladar's dice can be at times :P) and end up rich enough to afford therapy, group counseling, and his own casino upon full recovery. Along those lines, what about rolling with disadvantage? I have no skin in this game :)
Ha! I played a lot of years and DDO sessions with Mo and he's quite familiar with my luck with the dice. If it weren't for bad luck I'd have no luck at all :-) Marcin, you may handle your "bad" gambling talents in anyway you want, even calling a crit fail if you want to at some point. Just know you will always have the option of a straight up d100 roll if you are looking to win. I'll have to look at how I might do things if you run into a pro, someone proficient in the game. A +2 proficiency bonus isn't much on d100, so I'll most likely change it to proficiency bonus *5 for a d100 roll, so a +2 proficiency would give a +10 to a d100 roll.

Good session yesterday! I thought we were one fart afoul of bringing the whole camp down on our heads. And the geography was not to our advantage. Like being trapped in a cereal bowl with crocodiles.
Wayne W. said: That only applies if none of Perrin's gold is involved. LOL - thats true :) i will actually use that!! this was kmita's best night of gambling by far, considering he ended up with more money that he started out with. He will always remember the legendary halfling luck at the epic night of gambling at the dragon cult camp. That sounds good -- so the night at the camp Kmita was playing against equally bad opponents [perhaps the commander might have had proficiency - but if i remember the rolls it wouldn't have mattered :) ] - so that's why it was "equal" - no minus or pluses either way. But if Kmita runs into someone who is proficient or even expert, that would change the odds to favor the professional. Its a good solution that fits in nicely with the rules.
Hey guys, Josh is going to be a bit late this week so I'm pushing back the start time 1 hour. Hopefully he's on by then, if not at least he will miss less.

Got it! And I can run an hour later since my first class was cancelled. No net gain for Fate!
Just want to double check in terms of the campaign -- right now we've escaped from the dragon cult camp and have made it safely back to greenest right? Can we assume a long rest (and therefore level up) before we march into town?
That was my understanding. Right before we ended last session Aladar said to level up so that it didn't take up time for next session.
What Mo said. Level up to 3rd so you're ready to go at the start. We sort of fast forwarded you all back to Greenest with the rescued Monk. We'll pick things up the morning after your return and a long rest.
I rolled a mighty 1 on my hit points....(My second roll). I tested some spells after so I wanted to let you know. Wish I could have used my Halfling luck for that one... :)

Hey guys, the guy I was going to invite to join us would not be able to start until 8:00 p.m. CST, an hour later than usual. Would this be a problem for anyone? I would of course adjust the end time back an hour to 11:00 p.m. CST or after. Let me know.
not an issue here
No issue here either
I think that would give me just 2 hours to play, but I'll go with whatever you decide. Btw, Are we finishing up the Horde of the Dragon the next two weeks?
I think it'll take me a little longer than two weeks to finish it up, but that would coincide nicely with our two game lay off. I'll see what I can do. I'll wrap it up if I can do so without it feeling rushed and contrived. If adding one is going to knock you down to two hours Mo then I'll skip it, or add someone who can start at our normal time.

Yeah, just a suggestion, but could we bring the 5th player in when we transition to your homebrew? It seems like a natural place to bring in a 5th and it's not that far away. It'll give us a chance to finish the vendetta vs. the cultists. Movan still has Bog Luck to check off his list...
Hey guys, sorry about waffling back and forth last night between finishing that encounter or not, but the sleep bug hit me sudden like last night.
How dare you try and get a good night's sleep. Priorities all wrong i tell you what!
Hey Mo, did you make it back to Korea? Inquiring minds want to know....I'm not sure why I do though :-)
I got back last night around 12 hours ago. We had a late take off from Phuket so arrived in Shanghai late. I tried to get access to wifi but it proved too complex for my simple mind so I just skipped it. Ready for Amber Heart today though!
Added to my bio page: Scar: Perrin has a terrible scar that runs diagonally across his face. The wound he suffered at the hands of a wrathful Gith has left his once adorable mug horribly disfigured. Let this be a cautionary tale of just how dangerous the Underdark can be for careless adventurers . It seems his natural talent to persuade has now been replaced with a new found skill to intimidate those not prepared for his disturbing appearance.
I also think until we find a way to heal the scar Perrin should lose a point from Charisma.
The Dead From Above A tremendous crash echoes from outside, accompanied by an earth-shaking tremor and the sound of screams. A moment later, the foul scent of decomposition and death washes over you. You see villagers rush past the open doorway, obviously fleeing for their lives. As you emerge outside, you are confronted by a startling vista. A building lies in ruins, a tangle of shattered timbers and scattered thatching. Rising from the ruin is the walking, rotted corpse of a dead giant. The massive zombie has many broken bones, and cracked rafters protrude from its putrefying flesh. The creature must have plummeted from above! To fill in for a few sessions until Marcin decides what he wants to do I can run this for everyone. Let me know who is up for it and I will send them an invite. I have a generic campaign called The Dead Sprite which I'm using to run small quests for my Phandelver players. I can run this adventure as soon as 4/29. It should take 2 or maybe 3 sessions to finish. I also want to thank Naz for running all the fun sessions for us over the last few months!
Sounds good, Wayne! I'd be up for it. And likewise, thanks Naz for running all those sessions. My first exposure to 5e really whetted my appetite!
Sounds great to me too, thanks!
This is great -- I think it might be perfect timing since I am leaving town the 21st of May (coming back the 5th of June). With my schedule the way it is now, it would be better for me to begin at 6:00 pm PST. Not sure if everyone is OK with that. I did have a short campaign ready to go, but Mo has already run it, so I would probably make something else. The start time for my short campaign would probably be the 10th of June, starting at 6pm pst. It would be probably last a month (3-4 sessions) I would also like to thank Kevin for running the campaign, and especially for his help regarding DMing setup and macros.
Starting at 8:00 pm CST works for me. I sent everyone invites and started a thread for the adventure.
Glad to do it. Only wish I could continue. Best of luck with your games. I'll keep tabs on you through Movan and Marcin as I'm in other games with them during the week. So far tomorrow night looks good to finish things up, but the real test is getting through the day tomorrow as that's when the required server updates come out.
I'm going to zap this campaign sometime this weekend, so let me know if you need more time to pull off any information you want to save.
