Want to take a break from traditional systems? Are you looking for a system that gives you more options in combat, more than what D&D provides? Ever feel like diversity wasn't present enough and wasn't rewarded? Ever feel like you are only ever part of a team of murder hobos? I Invite you to join me this Sunday to take part in a system that I have been developing for a while now. If you are interested, you will be crawling through a dark and spooky dungeon, uprooting the evil beings that lie within, and uncovering the mystery behind the previously peaceful ruins. This is mostly a test run of my system, gauging numbers and entertainment value that this system provides. As the title suggested, at it's core, it's a modified D&D 2e with a hint of GURPS and here is a highlight of the major changes: Dynamic combat that rewards teamwork and strategy. Traditional armor class is gone. In it's stead, you will be able to dodge, block, or parry incoming attacks, and attacks that manage to hit you will be mitigated by your armor, depending on how strong it is. Several options are available, each with their own strategic advantages that will change depending on who you fight Called shots! Depending on how nimble your character is, and what type of weaponry he uses, you may opt in to attack vital points on your enemy instead of traditionally attacking them with a basic attack Each weapon provides different strengths and weaknesses that will change the mind thought of "sword for everybody!" Attributes will help define your character, but will not lock you into a play style Two high strength PC's can play vastly different roles for example Interesting spell casting All characters can cast spells! Some just do it better than others Introducing a new feature called Amplification that allows you to spend more mana to cast your spells to enhance them, but it will also make it more difficult to cast as well Currently I only have a few spells for the "fire sphere", more will be added later You can read the entirety of the current players handbook here. Thumb through it if you are interested! Please keep in mind that this system is still a WIP and the goal of this game is to get a feel of what's right and what needs to be changed Players Handbook Fire spells My Skype is "Randoms_2" Feel free to add me on skype to ask any questions, and feel free to ask any questions in the forum or private message me We will play this Sunday (4/26) around noon, depending on when the majority of the group is available.
