Things that are a must (at least for me)

A player finder! Some sort of simple calendar that show when games are running, and ways to find a particular game. Forums just do not cut it. Virtual Dice Pool/Cups Almost all of the games we play require us to build dice pools of different sized dice, roll them, and then actually move them around the table for various different actions. More player control Players should be able to see things like the resource library to add art to the game.
Player finder abilities are now included via the new Looking For Game feature: http://community.roll20.net/discussion/1832/new-update-730#Item_1 I'll make sure the other ideas are passed along.
It depends how much control you want to give to the player. You can upgrade him to GM. The problem for anything between what control a player has now and an upgrade to GM status, is that peoples are probably not going to agree about what a player needs to be able to control.
Upgrading to GM works great for everything I needed, except for jumping pages and sharing notes. That stuff did not work. Maybe if there were a "Story Gamer" option for games that gave more options to the players, but still allowed a "Master GM" to switch tables and share handouts?
