13th Age Interest Check

Just got the 13th age system not too long ago. Been reading it a lot and started a campaign with a few friends of mine in my home town. I think I'd enjoy running a campaign on here with some people. Been doing work already on here to make some things easier on the campaign side of things with my friends so I already have a good chunk of things done and ready to roll. I'd be looking to run for a few hours either every week or biweekly. Right now, Friday between 8am and 3pm EST time is the only thing I got available I've DMed a campaign on here, short lived, a while ago under a different account so I'd be getting used to things again as far as setting it up and running it but I have been playing with stuff to try to get used to it a bit more. It'd be under a Theatre of the Mind style more with more RP and story elements but good amount of combat as well. 13th age, for those that are unaware, uses gridless abstract combat so maps aren't needed but will be used for visual fun. It also focuses on allowing the players to have more say on things story wise and campaign information wise as well. My DM style is more off the cuff than preparation. I prepare a decent amount of random stuff but as for railroading...that's not a thing for me. Maybe once in a blue moon but the vast majority of the story is based on what the players do. I'm open to suggestions and ideas from players all the time. Guys, gals, new or experienced are all welcome to have a bit of fun. Of course, this is if enough people would be interested in actually doing this campaign. Also, don't know how relevant this is, but I'm a 24 year old dude whose been RPing for quite some time as either play by post or in campaigns run by myself or friends. The reason for my Friday only availability is due to my work schedule/my girlfriend's work schedule/other obligations that occur throughout the days. My job may be changing sometime over the next 3-4 months but than it would just change the day based on a group vote of everyone. Looking to start possibly this Friday, with obviously the first session being mainly character creation and probably a test battle to get everyone used to the system a little before moving forward. So...anybody have interest in this little shindig?

I'd like to play, but my time zone, UTC+1000, means I can't commit to the game. However, I've been GMing a 13th Age campaign here for some time and I'm happy to share what I've done and learned.
I'd be in, KS the damn thing but never played it. Can only do evening games though (CST).
Andrew that would be awesome! And Ben and Andrew I may be able to do Thursday evening around 530 EST if thatd be doable? I was initially going to only do Fridays, preferred but I can swing some things around in order to actually be able to run a campaign
This sounds awesome. No experience with 13th age but been interested for a while and friday is free for me. If you've got room I'm up for it
Grr, I've always wanted to play this...though it'd have to be two hours later for me I believe. Oh well, have fun ya'll.
What time would be doable for you Monk? Also I'm about to post the campaign up in the LFG ad officially so feel free to divert yourself over there :)
Ah, about 6 PM MST would work for me, which at this point is 8 PM EST. I cannot do Wednesdays, Sundays, or Saturdays.
I'm not sure about that time being workable unless I switched to Thursday nights instead of Friday mornings. That late is kind of rough for me though because I work 3rd shift

I'm among those who've been itching to give 13th Age a test drive. Unfortunately, the time listed only partially works for me - I'd only have about 2.5 hours spare for each session if it remains when it is. Curse you, RL obligations! :( Although a lot of it is 4E-related, my profile has a lot of basic information about me and my preferences/style which may be helpful in determining if I'd fit in with a given group or campaign. :)
Unfortunately Fridays is where it'll stay at due to my work schedule being what it is. Thursday nights would basically be my prep night for the sessions and the rest of the week would be a bit too hectic. Curse RL obligations indeed ha I feel the same way
I looked through the book, it seems to basically be a more vague D&D? I could be wrong but the classes, races, dice system, etc. are all the same. It's a d20 system with everything from D&D but the branding.

Well it has similarities because the 2 of the guys that made it made D&D 4E and D&D 3.X. I wouldn't say more vague I'd say more story/RP focused, easier on the mechanic side and encouraging more player control over the story as a whole. D20 systems encompass quite a few more than just D&D. D&D just happens to be a big name that most people know.
