Scheduling 2E Adventures Tuesdays April 7, 14, 21

Hello Players! GAME ON. Tuesday April 7, 2015, start time 2:05PM Central USA Reminder for tomorrow! Approximately 20 hours from now. Game is set up. I'm excited to run the adventures. Continuing adventures in & around the abandoned mansion. Expected attendance: Gray , Chris , Battalia , Hans , and SolidHybrid , tomorrow at the time listed on the Campaign Details homepage. RSVP Regrets Only: Post here if you will be unable to attend. March Journals, window still open to post about last session. Post any journals on the March Journal link relating to March 31 session (the time when we met Torvald Dwarf and Sandoval Elf), <a href="https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/1724663/post-jou" rel="nofollow">https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/1724663/post-jou</a>... So far we've got March 31 journals for Torvald ( SolidHybrid ) and Sandoval ( Hans ). Kryikh ( Gray ), Jade ( Battalia ), Airen ( Chris ) the window is still open for your journal of the last March session. Post before game time tomorrow to get the reward of Experience Points. April Journals will get a fresh thread. For April journals (upcoming session) I will make a new April Journal thread. For now I've decided to make fresh threads once a month for this, so there is some continuity but also a break so the thread isn't overly long. Get ready to post your Backstory in the near future. I plan to encourage everyone to share your character Backstory with a new post in the near future. I will make a fresh thread for this. The reason I held everyone back from posting background so far was to give every PC a chance to see the "world tour"; make a line on the map of how your character got from your point of origins down to the town of Portlandio; and fill-in or play-out a few encounters, events and relationships, that were formative for your character/personality in the world before you met the party. Backstory should not be limited to your pre-conception of the character, but instead should be informed by what you've learned about the homebrew world so far. Backstory should stretch from birth or adolescence up to the time you joined the larger party. Combine your original character concept with anything you learned in the world tour or your "line on the continental map". Update your backstory to include something about the homebrew world, your origins, your early travels, your place in the homebrew world. Work on this writing now and save it in your notes / character sheet / bio tab, or wait for the fresh Backstory thread. Either way, please anticipate the Backstory thread coming within the next 1-2 weeks and be ready to work on sharing your post then. The backstory thread will come in addition to the journal thread that week. Plan to double-up. It's totally fine if you need to post a shorter Journal that week (1 sentence can be adequate), to make up for a likely-longer Backstory. Looking ahead: Tuesday April 14 GAME SESSION Tuesday April 21 GAME SESSION Same time same channel. Put these dates on your calendar. Post here in advance if these dates don't work for you.

I'm expecting to be able to play as usual, but I just wanted to say that there is a slight chance I won't. I've been sick for a couple of days. Feeling *much* better today, but I'll just have to see later tonight. And as ever, I may not be able to make the start time due to domestic duties ...

I understand, Gray. Hope you can attend. We understand if you need to take a sick day off from the game. SolidHybrid will be arriving after work-traffic. I'm ready for the game so come-on in the game room early if anyone is online, enter and we can chat. Torvald & Sandoval have a bit of backstory to work-out between the 3 of us. We'll discuss that at the start-time or pre-session. I'm looking at Journals from last week & replying, awarding some experience points. Everyone might notice that my profile says "Roll20 Mod Team" now. I've been asked to join the Roll20 forum staff, which is an honor (and grants some extra benefits for our game!). My profile has that Moderator tag. It doesn't mean I am modding when I'm GM'ing here in our own campaign. This is my GM/campaign voice, not speaking as Moderator when we are here.

Reminder to All: Game day Tuesday! Game tomorrow (Tuesday at the usual time 2PM central USA, which is noted counting down for your time zone on the campaign details page). Expected attendance: Gray, Chris, Hans, SolidHybrid. RSVP regrets-only if you find out you can't attend this session. Battalia would be welcome to rejoin but she has not responded to our messages this past week. We are presently recruiting for 2 more new players. Possible extended session times for Level Zero, Origins gameplay, Prequel story... @Solid , I have it noted (from your response in Availability thread ) that you could play for longer hours than we've been playing on Tuesdays, and want to play more . Hans sometimes can as well. Chris probably sometimes can too. Gray is more time-limited and would not be expected to join this part. I propose that we spend an extra 1 to 1.5 hours of playing (when we agree and feel like it) and in that time, for the first few sessions we do this, we would play-out the "Zero Level" origins line of Torvald & Sandoval , up to the contract with the Lizardman Vessik . You will fight some orcs and other conflicts, establish some relationships from your origins (like meeting Ota-Shura the half elf aunty mayor). Torvald and Sandoval will meet (near the River Run, outside the bridge to Camptown). Together you would face some obstacles and fights along your journey towards the cold marsh lands & Portlandio peninsula. Chris' PC Airen has origins from the same swamp (Cold Marsh & Deep Marsh) as the Lizardman Vessik. In fact the Bullywug tribe & the Lizardman clan are in conflict in the swamp. It could get interesting. This could yield some clues pertaining to the current adventure. These scenarios can be played through, battled out, and roleplayed. You can practice all your NWP's, and battle rolls, setting up macros, and build-up your PC personality. Of course you can't die in this since it's a Prequel story, so any deaths will need to be explained with resurrections, healing. Also you cannot level up in this, but your XP can go towards explaining your first 1000 XP that I've given for journals and XP to be awarded when we call for Backstory to be posted for each PC. You could find items, clues, and visions/dreams in this & potentially keep the items for the main adventure. We could start to play this before or after the regular full-party game time, on any given week. Show up early on Tuesday. I'll try to show up early (no commitment yet). We can have a pre-game chat. We'll get started on Origins if we feel like it, or just chat. At the end of game session (when Gray and possibly others need to leave), Torvald can stay and play the Zero Level origins if we agree & if we feel like it on that particular day. We might decide to take a dinner-break and then return to playing. Want to try this, deciding if we have time for this on a week-to-week basis?

I am also enjoying this very much and would like to play more / longer. To be honest I'd prefer playing multiple days over playing longer sessions, but it's easy for me to say since I'm not working at the moment and have all the time in the world. However playing much longer on tuesday will not always be an option for me. At the moment we end at midnight my time, and I can play a little while longer but not too much, since my son usually wakes around 6-7am and I need the sleep. 1 am is probably the latest for me. I can start playing earlier on tuesday, up to two hours earlier than we do now.

Bit sick today, I'll be there for the session but I might have to run out to the bathroom at some point ;)

Monday casual meet-up is open starting NOW .Done for Today I will be in the game-table for a few hours today (starting now). I'll even start a Skype if we get a quorum and if people want to talk game talk. Star Gazer will be working on Kaz the Dawn Priest character sheet and story. Chris, Hans, Brendan, drop-by the game table if you see this note, if you're free. (Totally casual). Hans we could work on some Lore. Chris I have a couple Handouts and sort-of a request/idea to go over with you. Regular game time is still on for tomorrow... just 24 hours away!

Just found out I will be taking over project management for another store for the next 6 weeks and will have a meeting this upcoming Tuesday. I SHOULD be done/home approximately 30min before game time unless the meeting runs long in which case I will be a little late. Just a heads up. PS - I will be throwing my journal up tomorrow.
