Switching from one character sheet to another.

My group is using the 5E character sheet and I want to change it to the 5E shaped character sheet. What do I need to do in order to do this? I don’t want to lose all of the info that is in there sheet now. Do I have to get all of the info from there sheet and then re-enter it into the new sheet?

Hi Paul, Are you concerned about PCs, or NPCs? PCs should retain everything except: Armor Vision (new system) Class Specific: Rogues will need to redo expertise skills (normal and proficiency will stay). Bards will need to check "jack of all trades" at the bottom. I believe their skills will work, but they may need to open their "Attributes and Abilities page" and remove "floor(@{PB} / 2)" from skills such as "acrobatics_prof_exp". They can clear the field's input or remove the field - either will work. If you're concerned about NPCs the new sheets will not use the old data. I left the old data hidden at the bottom of the sheet if you want to manually copy them. Otherwise if you become a mentor I've written an D&D 5e Shaped NPC Importer & Converter which will convert them for you for the most part.

I am only concerned about the PC’s. I would like to switch over before our next game session. I can look at their armor and change it after. Now to do the switch is all I have to do is change the character sheet in the campaign details?

Correct. If you change the character sheet in the campaign details then you'll see the Shaped sheet. It will have everything from before except the 3 items I mentioned (I believe those are the only things lost). :)
