Transformers RPG

I wanting to run a campaign (with an ending in maybe 5-8 games). Via roll20.net [mic required] I've been trying to get a game together for a while. And I've always been excited to play in a setting that's rarely touched. As a default it's be set in classic G1 cartoon's world, with your own characters. But I'd would like to talk to any who are interested; if they'd rather play another Transformers' setting. Anything from Beast Wars to Prime. Or perhaps a new setting in WW2, or Victoria Britain, or what/when ever! And which side they like to be on, Autobots? Decepticons? Unicron? Quintesson? StarSeekers? Predacon? Maximal? Or your only side? The system is home brew which my friend has been working on for 3 years. It's alot better than most homebrews I've seen, and I feel it fits the setting very well. It uses the old G1 toy tech spec [<a href="http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Tech_specs" rel="nofollow">http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Tech_specs</a>] as a bases for the stats. One roll to decide most actions in the game. A very large selection of weapons, powers, team abilities, skills, and alternate modes (What you change into). And you'd be hard pressed to find anything not in this. So...who want's to "ROLL OUT" a character?

I might be interested in this, with the Fall of cybertron demo and the full game around the corner I have been thinking of a mechanized game for a while. Not specifically transformers originally but I would certainly be interested in a bit more detail couldn't hurt. Is there anything in particular you would want to play? I would be interested in a bit more of a futuristic setting. Mind you I haven't been a player in about seven years but I might be willing to give this a shot.

Well Allen. I normally like to ask people what they want to do. But me personally. G1/Highmoonstudio-game/IDW comic style Dealing with a problem on a planet, jumping between surface and orbit/space. the bad guys would be all named. So there no 'kill the nobody' the NPC are all want to life and will try to run to live to fight another day. I'd like it if the players took things into there own hands and tried to do something 'illegal' while trying to help the great good. So they would have to hide where ever there doing from the higher ups. I would like it to be somewhat in the future. With crazy pulp scifi stuff, time travel, super computers, parallel worlds, etc. On Earth? not sure. I would like some reason for alt modes to be needed. Either hiding as things cause your on Earth, or a beast mode cause radiation is two high, or beast mode hides you from radar. Cool thing about having the 'war' on someone elses planet is you can have a fight between your good guy and bad guys, and have a 3rd party, unsure of what to do and lashing out at both sides. If it's Earth it could easily be Earth in the future.

Someone once apon a time did a Robotech Fanfic-comic but Fortress Macross was the crashed Ark. And the Zentraedi were replaced with Transformers would came to recuse the Ark. Half of the rescuers crew didn't like the idea of humans having the tech and wanted to kill them so the knowledge would be safe. The other half just want to get the survivors and go home. The humans wanted to keep all this tech and shot anyone who can near Earth in their new transforming jetfighters. (Note: i know next to nothing about Robotech, but I'd be more than willing to run that)

I know NOTHING about robo tech, I have seen pictures that is all haha... I really like the setting on War/Fall of cybertron ...Seeing how Fall of cybertron (demo) seems to lead up to the movies actually it might be possible to start off in one and move to another. Now I haven't been a player, but as a DM of many years I get what you mean by asking, and not having any no named characters. Really though the manner of play style greatly depends on the setting and scenario they all have great ups and downs. I would like to see more people sign up for this so we could get a real discussion going about setting and such.

I would be totally down for a Transformers game. I don't know much about Transformers G1, but I think a Transformers tabletop would be rad.

Also in terms of setting, one idea I think would be really cool would be a WW2 setting as Autobot Allies against Decepticon Axis. But I'm open for anything really.

That could be fun. Evenings work best for me, Fridays are bad and Tuesday will prob be bad as well

While I would prefer a more futuristic setting, I would be content with a WWII setting I suppose. Evenings are best usually, what are your time zones? Those are generally the most important part of getting a game organized.

EDT (ill make any time work if I can.) There's three people here. Would you guys like to get together and roll up characters on a day. What day(s) are good for you guys? Said day, don't need to be 'the game day' we decide on, but it's be nice to maybe to show off what i'm thinking and we could through ideas of how we'd want the game to go?
