Hey Faithful Players and a New Applicant! GAME ON. We are starting to get the swing of this. Tuesday April 28, and May 5, May 12, start time 2:05PM Central USA Reminder for this week! Game time coming up in less than 40 hours. Date & Time for your Time Zone is listed on the campaign details main page. Game table is prepped and oozing: pirates aplenty, treasure, traps, magic, monsters and more. Expected attendance: Gray , Chris 1 (might be late if necessary) , Hans , SolidHybrid , Star Gazer , and Chris S a new recruit who shares the name Chris so for now we'll say "Chris S" for him. Please welcome the new Chris. He is making a Druid PC and wants to join the party. RSVP Regrets Only: Post here if you will be unable to attend. Chris RSVP'd earlier on another thread, he said: "Just found out I will be taking over project management for another store for the next 6 weeks and will have a meeting this upcoming Tuesday. I SHOULD be done/home approximately 30min before game time unless the meeting runs long in which case I will be a little late. Just a heads up. PS - I will be throwing my journal up tomorrow." Looking Ahead Tuesday April 28 -- this week session is coming up soon! Tuesday May 5 -- Should be the usual schedule, I'm about 80%. If I need to shift the time or cancel, I'll let you all know as soon as I can. Tuesday May 12 -- Add these to your calendar! Adventure Planning for the next 1-2 sessions.. and a mention of beyond There are just 3-5 rooms left unexplored in the mansion upstairs (should you choose to revisit that floor?). The Party just finished thoroughly looting the long-lost alchemist's laboratory below ground, and found a secret tunnel with a hatch-door leading back up to the ground floor of the Library turret. Scratching your heads, party members have been wondering "Where did the pirates come from? Where do they go? Why are they around here?" Wherever they are hiding, you have determined that the pirates must be led by an Illusionist Pirate named Sanabel , who is in-league with the Lizardman Vessik -- probably some nefarious transaction, or threatening axis of dangerous powers in the region, that could come to threaten the people of Portlandio if you don't solve the mystery first. Is the property owner Thoma aware or involved? This is still a part of the mystery. He's the boss of Ned the backstabbing groundskeeper NPC. What's more, the Pirates seem to be in-communication with something or someone out on the open-water of the nearby Bay inlet: could it be a pirate ship? You figured out they have been signaling to the sea using a bullseye lantern and code pattern. So far, so good, but you have not gotten to the bottom of this conspiracy yet. After overcoming Sanabel , one way or another, the world is your oyster! The party can decide from many choices. There will be hooks and motivations, to weigh and choose. Perhaps you want to continue tracking the source of the pirates? Their funding, their allegiances, their plans. Some kind of larger threat? This will tie in with Bullywugs, Lizardmen, Portlandio, the Cold Marshes nearby, Elementalists and Benders, the flying roof cat, and other strands of plots uncovered and relationships you have formed. Meanwhile there are simultaneous rumblings of orc troops fighting wild elves, which is another track the party could start exploring. Thirdly, there is a strange island in the Bay with Lore that attracts the magic users in the party. This is just a sampling of myriad adventures waiting for you.
Guys -- I'm sorry to say my attendance is going to have to be very limited this week. My wife is away, so I have the kids. I thought this would just mean I have to start a little late as has happened before. But to tell you the truth I am totally shattered and need to get an early night. I still aim to participate, but I will be starting late (maybe around 3PM Gold's time) and will only be able to play for about an hour probably. Sorry for the disruption.
Understandable Gray. I hope you will not miss the big fight (also for our sake) but we will try to avoid a TPK ;-) Get some rest. I suppose Kryikh will be studying in the alchemists hideout for a bit so you can join at will. Hopefully we'll see you later.

@ Gray , noted, thanks for the heads up. There are several areas in today's adventures where we would want Kryikh to be here. There are books; exploring; and fights. I'll try to organize the game-time so that Gray is here to control Kryikh for some of the highest action. Come as soon as you can. Leave as soon as you need to. From the moment Gray joins us, let's be ready to maximize that hour with his PC. Regardless what room we are exploring in at the point he arrives, we will switch to a scene that I've set up for action. For the times Gray can't be here today, we will Kryikh mostly in the background and safe, but Chris (Airen) can roll search rolls and other basic actions for Kryikh. Game time in about 1 hour!
Thanks Gold, sorry to mess things up. I'll try to give you more notice in future.

I'm opening for a Player Character Meet-up on Saturday 3PM Central USA time. The time for your time zone is marked & counting down on the campaign details page. It's 13 hours from now. This is primarily for Gray & Chris/Airen to work on their spells from spellcasters levelling up, and finding 2 spell books. Hans , if you're available, drop by and we can talk about the stealthy-fighter ideas that we have been discussing in PM. Chris S , join us if you are free on your Saturday night. We could work on your druid character, answer any questions, and work-out some of your origins on the world map. Solid , Kaz , feel free to join if you want to chat, or if you have any questions. After this, the regular game time is still on for Tuesday.
I'll probably be online around our usual game time so I'll try to drop by.
I posted on the spellbook thread that i'd be there at 3.30, but i will come a bit earlier if you are going to be there. some time between 3 and 3.15.

Getting ready now for Player Meet Up session in the game table & skype. Attendance is not required but everyone is welcome. Anyone who has questions about your character, this is a good time to work on it together. Regular game session time is still ON for Tuesday too.
I should be able to making all 3 sessions unless I find I cant when that time comes and will post. the times and dates are good for me
I will be in a meeting tomorrow and not sure what time it will end. Hopefully I will be home in time - if not I will be a little late (hopefully not = / )

Thanks for the heads up. 3-4 Players have let me know / indicated they might be late (but all plan to attend) for this May 12 session (some by PM or in chat). The ones who have NOT said they'll be late, guys, I would like to put the spotlight on you for the start of the session this week! Hans - Sandoval Elf Kaz - Minotaur Dawn Priest Let's begin the session with Kaz and Sandoval , coordinating the dispensation of the pirate weapons stash. Are you going to load the weapons outside? There is a rickety cart in the carriage house, out in the mansion yard. When Gray & Chris Airen are in attendance together, we will play into the part about Familiar spirits, and this will take around 30-40 minutes of the session, which should be a fun part. Other segments this week include... Agenda-wise, Investigating / putting together clues about the pirates associates even greater than Sanabel (what did Kaz smell, and what are the unexplained footprints Mitel and Beartram notice now in the sandy sea cave?)... Some possible surprises between the mansion and the town... and anyone who wants to go into the town of Portlandio (buy-sell-identify, stash things away, roleplaying contacts with your relationships in town, or ask questions), or if anyone wants to go into the Cold Marsh Swamp in search of Vessik the Lizardman. And there's more. Not a typical adventure week, more of a mixture of activities and even individual goals or side quests, as the party members prepare themselves for the next phase (signaling the pirates, and eventually going out to the pirate's ship to confront their captain and interrogate their associates). I've been working on the session agenda, and it helps knowing the attendance (and in some cases, regretfully, a few people who have to show up late this week). A rough outline of the session agenda is actually visible in gold text on the current play board in the game-table if you scroll to it. I'm working on responses to your journals & Journal XP as well, and some bits to advance the game (like the books for Kryikh ). Naturally I've been working on the Portlandio town map & townie services list, and of course the Pirate ship and the hierarchy of powers vying in the region. And lots more "wandering monsters" are lurking about now too. Monsters and orcs seem to be on the up-swing in the area lately. Huh. Kaz , I will answer your PM tonight, all good. See you all at Game Time or as soon as you can make it!
Gold, FYI I am hoping to actually be there at the start of the session for once, or at least close to it. It will be good for me to listen to Hans and Kaz and get up to speed with where things left off last week after I had to leave. Then I will be there and ready as soon as Chris (Airen) arrives. I will have to leave early again.
Hi, just a little update since I've been quiet this week. I've been very busy. Today was my first day back at work and now on my way home for my son's first birthday. I will be there tonight, should be in time, but I doubt I'll be able to do a journal.

Ok fellas. Got the schedule updates, and this is fine. Don't worry about a Journal if you can't do one. I would like to encourage a SHORTY journal on 1 topic if you have time to fit that in... "My favorite scene was that one time when ____." There is a LOWER XP award, for 1-sentence / 1-paragraph mini-journals. It's worth lesser XP but there is a lower level XP that can help keep you from falling behind in journal xp's. Kaz is going to take the short-journal route this week. But again, don't feel badly if you need to skip a journal. I'll see everyone at game-time or as soon as you can make it. Specially Happy Birthday to the 1-year-old in Hans' family, from all of us in "The Party".

Note to Early Arrivers, There is a VOICE talking in the campaign (sound effects, background audio). I'll leave the track playing for the next 1.5 hours. Hans I wanted to tell you so the voice won't surprise you. The voice is talking about "spirit animals" and it setting the mood for "Find Familiar" spell for Airen and Kryikh. She talks for about 5 minutes, and it should not repeat. You can listen to the voice, or remove your headphones. It's pretty strange and New Age style. It is a Guided Meditation. It might even make you feel a little uncomfortable listening to it, if you're not used to practicing meditations. She really asks you to focus in the speech, so it is kind of hypnotic. Listening to it is totally optional. Again this is not meant on a spiritual level or religious. It's purely used here for game-related effect, for setting the mood in regard to Familiar Spirits in the spell in the fantasy game. Airen & Kryikh, please DO enter the game room and listen to the 10 minutes of audio before the game time, if you are able. (No big deal if not).
Haha thanks for the headsup. Almost ready, there in 10
