The First Session is the weekend of May 8th, 2015, starting at 6 or 7pm PST. Summary We’re looking for Players interested in participating in one of eight One-Shot adventures we’re running in a custom campaign setting. We intend to live-stream the sessions on Twitch and record them for viewing on YouTube. The campaign setting is completely custom. The DMs (three of us total) have years of experience and we have pulled in some really great artists to bring the world alive. Every session we bring in a fresh group of players. The story of the world advances and evolves as each of these groups makes important choices and decisions, the consequences of which will ripple forward to future sessions in the weeks and months to come. Not only can you watch the story unfold live on Twitch, you can sign up to play and have a chance to write part of it yourself. We’re developing ways for both the Players and Viewers to further shape the campaign world, but more of that will be explained when we launch our first adventure. These eight adventures will make up “Season Two” of the “Blood of the Earth” story. Campaign Description The island has been your home for generations. Ruins and relics point to the splendors of a vast, ancient civilization, snuffed out of existence not by time, but the hands of the Titans. Massive, powerful beings of earth and stone, each Titan stands distinct from its fellows in temperament and capability. Some simply walked across the island, crushing those unlucky enough to get in their way. Others schemed, hunting and stalking their prey to strike at the most opportune moment. None alive today know the truth of what happened, save, perhaps, for the silent Titans. Banding together out of necessity, several factions persevere on the island, each embracing their own ideology of survival. Scavenging in the ruins and hunting the forests, they scrape out an existence here, as belief in a world beyond the island’s shores fades with each passing generation. You, as a member of one of these factions, will struggle against the trials and terrors of the island and lead your friends and fellows to triumph... or to disaster. Make your choices wisely, the consequences are more than yours alone to bear. Campaign Details The sessions dates and times are to be determined, with a start date of The Weekend of May 8th, evenings starting at 6 or 7pm PST. The setting for Season Two focuses on the same tribe of hunters as Season One, still struggling to survive on the eastern side of the island. All eight sessions will focus on the tribe and all PCs will be members of the tribe (hence the use of pre-generated characters). We will be running Dungeons and Dragons 5th Edition, and using pre-generated characters that range from levels 3 through 5, with the group leveling up as the Season progresses. If you watched or played in Season One, you’ll see familiar faces in both the party and the tribe, but there are plenty of new characters to check out as well. Additionally, we’re introducing Unlockable Characters to this Season! If you play your cards right, you could add new, unique characters to the roster of PCs. About Us Steven will be returning as the Dungeon Master for Season Two. Jon will be handling the administrative tasks (interviewing players, making sure everyone has the needed equipment, screening characters, etc), as well as streaming the sessions. Steve has about ten years of experience as a DM over a multitude of game systems, the last year of which he has spent running professional D&D games. Player Requirements As we’re planning to live-stream these sessions and keep things within an existing campaign setting, we’ll need the potential players to adhere to some requirements. We’re open to discussion on some of these items, but many of them are required. You must be available half an hour before the listed session start time through the end of the listed time (most sessions will run for four hours, so we’ll need you to commit to four and a half hours of time total). You must have some prior experience with D&D 5th Edition or have experience with a different system and interest to quickly learn 5E. You must use one of pre-generated characters that will be available for Season Two You must have video and audio available for your session and be willing to be involved with a Twitch live-stream and YouTube video We expect a certain level of professionalism from both the players and DM. As such, please be conscious of your background noise, and involvement in the game when it’s “not your turn” (ie. avoid running off to other things while the session is running).
